Thought I'd get in early with this, if you don't mind -

This has got dour, uninspired 0 - 0 result written all over it.

Red cards to Muscat, Vargas and, oh, let's see...Merrick?

Scum to be unable break down 9 man Vic Tree.

All beer and pies to be sold out ten minutes before half time, causing South End to erupt and start Melbourne's bloodiest sokkah riot ever.

shall we cancel the game due to lack of interest then although close up pics of "sokkahs" bloodiest riot would make interesting viewing, seeing as ogrish has long since turned to crap

I hear from my good friend Andy Harper that it's been a very vibrant 10 minutes.

Has he demeaned his co-commentator severely yet?

Indeed, Melbourne lucky not to be two down IMO. Not good.

They do miss the pace and skills of Archie Thompson don't they? Him and Allsop combined just take them to another level.

f**k me.  Aloisi flukes a goal.  Open goal and he needs the underside of the crossbar.

gee that crowd figure puts perspective on the poor crowd at the F3 derby. 31,000 and more at the Telstra dome...

It's about 90k, but the combined populations aren't even a quarter of Melbourne's if you take the districts in to account.

Crowds seem to be down 15-20% across the board this year.

At least one Melbourne team won today.

We've sent a couple of Football Ferns across the pond to teach those West Islanders how to play football, and Marlies Oostdam and Rebecca Tegg duly scored in a 2-0 W-League win over Central Coast Mariners.

Cheers,

Great night, poor result. A few highlights included the roof finally being opened at the Dome (just so much better than having it shut imo), giving the away fans the "What's it like to see a crowd?" chant, and the text I got from C-Diddy pre game: "Tards v Smurfs? I'd rather watch midget porn."
