3 - 5 - 2, is definatley the way to go, utilises all our
attacking midfielders. With Rees in the middle the back looks
really strong.

being any worse than the slow turning Christie who all attackers
love playing against.

I fyou look criticially at the Sydney game though we actually
created very few chances despite defending well. Perhaps the
approach we are looking for away against Melbourne but I think
we're a better side than that

This is quite an attacking team, its more based on the formation
with players that can play in those positions bracketed as they
could be picked. In saying that this is my preferred starting XI,
only selection issue is Elrich, his fitness and defensive
capabilities and if that is a problem seeing Daniel benched (or on
the left for lochead who in turn displaces O'Dor) and Elrich moving
further forward and Ferrante to play on the right.

u may want to simplify it a tad :P
o and swap dodd and rees, dodd must take the middle
essentially u have 6+ deferders when defending and 7ish on attack when defending, mids have to do a hell f a lot of work and thus should be subs, so mids need to be on the bench for this formation to work.

With the way our L and R back overlap it sometimes leaves us with only 2 at the back and open for counter attack, which is what has lead to a lot of goals. I think with 3 at the back we will have 3 at the back at all times (just about).

good point re needing mids on the bench with 3,5,2 - a lesson to be learnt after sydney game (though to be fair to Sully, there weren't many spare mids around last weekend)
