We (PhD students from Germany) are conducting research on the A-League and would like to get as many Wellington Phoenix fans as possible.

Every participant will automatically entered in a prize draw to win a 200$ Qantas voucher to support your team anywhere
in Australia. To participate please use... the following link: http://equestionnaire.de/?q=6326

The questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and we can also provide you with the
main results if you are interested (see how you compare to other A-League teams).

Thanks for your participation.

Cheers and good luck for the finals...  Smithy2010-02-01 10:33:46

It wouldn't take as long if they didn't repeat so many damn questions
Having done similar research however, it is understandable...

Some of the questions are repetitive but not too onerous.

Seems to be legit. Takes you to the official A League site when you're done.

There was a question about " fantasy league"....Whats " fantasy league"?

Is it like when you are having one of those dreams about playing the Swedish womens national team and they are all in the nude?

It shouts at me in German!

Bitte eine Zahl eingeben!'

Ahh!

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

And the field is very muddy

And there is a foul and one player pushes another

And they slip over

And their team mates join in

And, and... I'll just have quick cold shower...

spot the cross referenced questions. they ask the same question about 4 or 5 times, just worded differently
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

an effective way to measure if a question is affected by those questions that are asked around it. Generally the more important questions are treated in this manner

Attending games of my favourite team helps me to feel psychcologically aroused by the competition.
Excuse me?

I think some of the wording was changed slightly to change between past, present and future tense. Not very clear though as obviously their first language wasn't English.

sorry for the "shouting in German at you", we must have forgotten to change this as well, but I guess you figured out that you needed to enter a number ;)

Thanks for participating....

How come you guys choose the a-league?

It is a new league and perfect to compare to old and established leagues. We also try to compare contextual differences between teams of the league because they are still in the development stage. Pretty interesting compared to the EPL where every team exists since 100 years and are toys of billionnaires...

will you be making your findings available online in due course Thilo ??
Permalink Permalink
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
We will not make the available online but send an email to participants who ticked the last box... This ensures that the results are not floating around the net and just everyone can have a look at them before we publish them in a journal... but if you want we can provide you with an overview (just tick the last box...)

The Nix failed miserably for me in that department!

I wondered if that one page where the questions were repeated three times was a wind up.

I didn't find the questions too bad, but maybe I'm just homesick.. I wrote quite a long essay about why I love the Phoenix and Wellington in the box at the end XD

Ich wnsche Ihnen viel Erfolg! :)

do you think you have a chance away against Gold Coast United?
Permalink Permalink
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Of course. Anyone has a chance in this league - that is what is good (and sometimes bad) about it. We could beat them 6-0 again or lose 6-0 , anything can happen.

...it remains an interesting question...
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Just got the results of the survey sent by email.

Just graphs, no interpretation or discussion. Nothing of any major surprise it seems.

The best part: "unfortunately, no North Queensland Fury fan participated."

I found it interesting, will definitely look at the article they are gonna bring it later this year, probably way more in-depth analysis.Azevo2010-06-22 21:57:05
