Hey folks.  Thanks to everyone who helped with banners and flags yesterday.  It was a mission but good to see it came off.

I haven't checked the TV coverage but Cam got some great shots:

Lucky that someone realised the scarf was back to front before we unfurled it! But yeah, thanks to everyone that helped, it looked fantastic.

Yeah.  I picked up the corner and read 'bottom left' and for about 5 seconds I must have just had a confused look on my face before going "Oh Fuc"k.

That Banner was just great. Really good with the scarf. Good message as well (the bonus is that the sponsors would like it as well)

Just one thought - the shadow at the top blocks out the upper words from view - so what I saw at first was 'Stop believing' - the rest was hard to see in darjkk shade. Its the same in photos and TV a bit (although they can compensate for shaded areas. Maybe try and unfurl is from as low as possible on sunny days so most of it is in the sun? I guess its a bit tricky witht eh entrances etc. Hopefully we'll get a few more similar sunny calm days to try that :-)

Yeah.  We figured that as well but not until we'd run it out.

With the hours of work it's taken to be allowed to do it there, trying to move it due to the sun would have been a nightmare.

For me the thing that looked best was the flags.  WOuld love to get them going like that every week and during the game but we're short of flag waving volunteers.

I did think to myself yesterday that the fever zone has definitely thinned out though

It was very similar in numbers to the rest of the season (barring the season opener).

More importantly I think we very very vocal yesterday - which always makes 6000 people sound like...12000.

Over the last year or so I've come to think we don't chant as we used to. But yesterday we were all in fine voice.

And by the way, are all girls from Newcastle like the ones who came to the Fever zone yesterday???

Huge congrats to those in the Zone for yesterday, I was sitting in Aisle 24 with a few friends who had never been before and they were beyond impressed. We (you) were in very fine voice, best of the season and top marks from me. My friends are now former diehard rugby fans who will most likely never go to another live rugby game. Officially converted. Fever zone for all of us next time for sure.

I thought it was amusing. Unforunately the camera guy had a tight shot so you couldn't see the rest of the scarf other than the Phoenix bit.

Nice and classy touch organizers, just what the team/club needed at this time. True fans for sure despite what's been going on. Owners come and go but the real fans remain.

dewhurst was all "what does it say" as it was unfurling - he was expecting something controversial and was ready to pounce on some ill-feeling, made the Fever look very classy taking the high road and just getting behind the team.

Well done lads

I'm pretty sure me and the crew will be happy to keep waving them if there is a need for it - was certainly an easy task last week (compared to you lot sorting the scarf!). Just a matter of someone letting us know what's needed when we are at the pub pre-game. So that's five sets of helping hands for ya.
