I feel this deserves its own thread!

Add your thanks and adulation for Terry Serepisos here.

NZ Football and the football public owe a debt of gratitude to Terry for rescuing professional football in this country and helping us reach the World Cup Finals. To we Phoenix Tragics, he has provided us the opportunity to support a club as a club should be supported. On a personal level I have appreciated the chance to take my son to see the best football on offer in this Country and Terry has played such an important part in all of that. I'm glad that Terry has relinquished control of the club purely because circumstances dictated that he should. I'm glad that the new owners have recognised his contribution and hope that Terry still feels good enough to attend games and receive the accolades that he deserves. If I had a corporate box, Terry would be welcome to be my guest every week for as long as he likes. I hope Terry can resurrect his personal career and hope he is careful in the way he goes about it. Thanks again Mr Serepisos.

Thanks Terry - you literally single-handedly rescued professional football in New Zealand just when it looked like it may disappear never to be seen again. You put your neck (and money!) on the line when no-one else was willing to, and ushered in one of the most exciting times to be a football person in New Zealand, and that can never be taken away from you.

NZ and Wellington Phoenix fans will always remember the critical role you've played in placing football on the national scene, and the magical moments we've experienced at the RoF over the past four years with both the Phoenix and the All Whites, which would never have happened without you. Indeed, the very fact that there are now people willing to put their money into the club when there were none other than you four years ago is a testament to your hard work and proving that it is possible to run a successful professional football club in Wellington and New Zealand.

Thank you again for the passion and determination with which you've run the club. Wish you all the best, and hope we will be seeing you at the RoF during the upcoming season.

I hope someone will be at Terry's presser at 1:30 to give him a card or a bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates in the shape of a football or something.

Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009

You fulfilled the promise of Season 1 & 2 of the Kingz!

I can't describe how good it feels to be able to go to a professional football match right here in New Zealand. I look foward to it all week, reading the banter on YF, enjoy pre-match brunch and a few lagers, followed by the game itself. In my view these experiences  and that wonderful night back in November 2009 would not have been possible without Terry's vision, and his willingness to invest in something which was never going to produce signifciant returns.

Thanks for the memories Terry, and I mean that most sincerely.

It is hard to put into words how thankful I am for all that you have done Terry, they wont explain enough what a great ride it has been since you jumped from the barber's chair to get this started..

You have been absolutely fantastic for football in this country. Absolutely bloody fantastic !!

You have given us/me so many good memories. Your generosity in starting the club and your passion in running it and your dedication to supporting it will never be forgotten

I wish you every success in your business and personal life from here, may you rise again as well
All the best

I still hoped to the bitter end that you would pull another rabbit out of the hat Terry...alas it was not to be. You were the saviour of professional football in this country and I will always be very grateful to you for that.
All the best in whatever direction your future now takes you and it would be good to see you at the ROF during the football season

Looking forward to the new era, but without Terry there would have been nothing to build on in the first place. It's fair to say that without the Phoenix, the All White would not have had World Cup glory. Good luck Terry... now you can come join us in the Fever Zone!

Thanks Terry for all you have done.  An auspicious haircut became a team that has done so much for football and wellington and the country. Through your guidance we got a professional and competitive football team in Wellington, games against massive international clubs, and through this exposure and hype more than sold out the Ring of Fire for that Bahrain game which propelled NZ into the World Cup.

I look forward to your return to wealth, you will always be a hero of the Yellow Fever.

Cheers Terry for bringing something extra into my life, I wasn't a big football fan back in the early days jumped aboard as a founding member of the club just to be there when we achieved something amazing, funnily enough now the phoenix is my number one team which looking back surprises me. Cheers Terry, you've made my teen years all that more enjoyable.

We need:

1. Terry Fever Tee.

2. "Thank you Terry" banner on display at every home game next to the YF one.

3. At least one Terry chant that becomes a staple and is sung at every game.
