reading this thread is not good for me, at the moment i am still undecided if i should renew but reading this makes me think it is not worth dealing with ticketek and being stuffed around for the 3rd year in a row.

I posted same thing on Twitter - they need to hire more people to answer the phones, the hold times will be killing sales of renewals right now.

It's only the first day, but people have very low tolerance for Ticketek's problems, having dealt with this the last few years already.

Just had a practice run on the site - if you want to do anything basic and your details are perfect, and you don't care about seats, it probably works ok - as soon as you start getting permutations, it gets very confusing. Can probably still do it if you are smart. I think I'll call.

Pathetic. Not apathetic.

does going to the actual branchs help, or can you only renew online and over the phone.

ie if i walked down to the ticketek at the railway Metro could they sort me out?

I'm gonna wait - we have 2 weeks to renew so there is no rush. In 7 or 8 working days there will be less people trying to ring through. I can only say positives about my dealings with Ticketek in the past, but there's always times for a first.

But 10 minutes is a bit long.

Found how to get internet log on all done.
But thanks to ticketek for PM and enquiry on wait time.

If you call over the phone how do you verify that you are students? From memory you have to send in a photocopy of your ID's if done online

none of the above. If you did that you would also have to do the same for a childs ticket as anyone who tries to rip it off by getting students, would then just switch to child if you didnt.

The problem is they dont check at the gate,so it is always going to happen. And it is too much of a hassle to get every child and student to send in birth certs/student ID for every ticket. Tikcetek is useless enough as it is! And it would put people off buying tickets,as itd be effort.

So i figure they just cut their losses with those people, for the benefit of making it easier for the majority to purchase tickets.

So what is the season ticket?  Is it a piece of paper which over the course of the season gets so scrunched up its unlikely to scan more than a few times, or does it mean you can print off a new ticket before every game, or is it a wee protected plastic thing that you use for all of them?

And do you get any free stuff with it?

I dread this part of the season every year. I also want to add a new member to our group. Usually I'm a fairly optimistic person, but if this all goes without a hitch I'll be very surprised...

Not a prob for us today, they have only said they can not confirm the exact location of the third seat we want but are hopeful it will be the one next to the original two. Your likely prob would be if you are sitting in a highly populated area, with other season tickets pre sold around you??

They have said that when they ring back in two weeks, there will be several options .. a) getting the third person sitting right next to us, b) just behind us c) moving all 3 of us to a nearby location of our choice so we can sit together.

I opted to pay for all 3 passes this morning over the phone and they have already emailed the receipt  showing the 3 charges.

Quite good I thought.

Yep.  It's only the first day of a two week period to renew.

It's always nice to get it sorted quickly but I'm sure there will be plenty of time.

Made a call and expecting a call back........hmmmmmm

The 'prospective member' is now a current member again according to the website. Right, now to try and get some more seats near ours.....

Phone or online only ... I went to both the MFC ticketek AND the Nix shop before finding this out, was far too over eager

Just received a receipt via email from Ticketek, with all six of us listed and in correct seats!
Very surprised but also relieved that it all seems to have gone so smoothly this time.

Cheers mate, that's good to hear. Am in aisle 25 which usually isn't too bad for seats so will keep the fingers crossed. Glad to hear that moving all of them is an option as well, as the extra person sitting behind would be a bit naff if they couldn't be beside.
I'm going to take a few deep breaths and try it tomorrow.

So are they going to have a ticket-sales-o-meter on the Phoenix page like last season?  I'm curious to know how many have signed up.

bit the bullet and went to renew online this morning, ran into problems as soon as i had logged in, i had two different member numbers one online and a different one on last seasons pass also my seat number was wrong online waiting to hear from someone at ticketek to sort it out but the longer they take the less likely i am to say yes at the end. the last two years tonyp has had to step in and help me get my pass sorted what am i going to do now that he is no longer with the club, give up may be the easiest

I feel your pain. You have to wonder why they give you an account number,3 seasons and i have had 3 different numbers. You would think the number you get when first registering would remain.I have attempted to find out if im still down as an Inaugural member but  that seems to hard a question. There wasnt a massive number of us and even less who have stayed loyal guess its only current ones who count.

Just saw this thread to find out season ticket sales are open. Pity the club didn't bother to tell me as only been a season ticket holder since day 1.

I just got my third email this week mentioning it, plus two or three DomPost articles.

Must take some skill to have fallen off the email lists.

sorted (well giving Ticketek/the club my money is sorted)

i'll now commence the, annually recurring, gradual increase in anxiety as the season grows closer and the (forthcoming) ticket non-delivery angst topic fills up with posts

Well, other than the first part of day 1, things have gone well.  Got ours renewed over the internet that evening.  Got a call yesterday to find out what seats we wanted (requested a change).  Just checked now and we have got pretty much what we asked for.

Also have received emails from the club.

Hope you get things sorted soon Holeinone - may be best to ring them up?

Dear Campbell Live, Dom Post (some, not all),  and all you other sad vultures waiting to pick over Terry and the Nix's bones;

Season tickets renewed, couple of mates and sundry wives and kids getting their first season tickets - net gain in season tickets 7.

Stick that up your ..........
