Once purchased, do we get 'tickets' e-mailed to us, or do we just turn up on the day at a specific place?

There will be an email going out with all the details sometime later next week, but no tickets needed. We'll just tick you all off a list :)

Think of it as a school trip.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

The Waverley 4 Square does brill cheap flat whites out back of the store.

I once went there 4 times in one day (was helping to clean a house) and I never knew this.

So much awesomeness in that advertising, but especially:

1. I didn't know the Phoenix lived in Hobbit Holes under Mt Taranaki.

2. The World's #2 Region in 2012. Seriously? Awesome to hold on to that glory for as long as possible!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Thinking about making this trip, probably drive ourselves for a bit of a road trip and stay 2 or 3 nights since it's a long weekend. Never been there before so any recommendations on suitable for accommodation for a couple that's convenient for the stadium?

Yes, Waitangi Day is the Monday (also Super Bowl Day)

Game isn't the Monday. Just it's a long weekend because Monday is Waitangi Day. Game is the Saturday night.

It's the largest bus we can get from our preferred (read: the company that allows us to drink on board) bus provider.

And sold out!

People may have noticed that the Phoenix are putting on a free bus that goes up there and back on the same day. Tickets are given away through their social media channels so look out for that if you are keen for a mega day trip. They also have 6 seats on out bus to give away.

Still to be confirmed, but it's likely our bus will depart the Backbencher at 8:30am on the day. We'll probably stop in Whanganui for a quick lunch.

Would be better to be one of 3 random winners to travel on the Fever Bus, and stay the night..  Who is going to want to arrive back in Wellington at 4am!!.  Could they not get flights at all? Wonder how much interest this competition will garner...

Just looking at accommodation options. Planning to drive ourselves and stay a couple of nights to make a bit of a long weekend getaway out of it - neither of us have been to New Plymouth before either. For those familiar with the place, can you park near the stadium or would you be better off getting a bus or something (assuming you're not staying within walking distance)?

I just won some of the free bus tickets to NP for this game. I replied and asked if I can be one of the lucky few on the Fever bus and they said they should be able to get me on. Can anyone help swing it 100%?!? Buzzing for this game now!
