lol I actually very rarely drink alcohol & I hate plonk - my point was I don't see the word FREE and think I've won lotto when we're talking about a mere $6-$9 drink - thats left to those whose lives do revolve around the consumption of alcohol in the weekends

If you rarely drink alcohol you obviously wont be attracted to any of the Fever lads.

Why not not leave us to oggle at the promo girls and drink our free booze and we'll just see you at the game with your manhater sober mates.

O, and you better not take your top off if you've burnt your bra

I agree with Stealthkiwi that the promo "Get free pints from wenches" does seem to be targeted more at men than women.

I admit, however, that only a feminist, a radical black militant or a Doctor of Sociology could ever arrive at such a bizarre conclusion.

Actually Alt I'm guessing the majority on here already realise I'm more into chemicals of a diff persuasion than alcohol as the resident doof doof addict and since I dance most weekends I'm guessing I'm just as fit as most of the footy players since a good rave equals 3-5 back to back aerobic classes

and I'm not miserable... just surprised that Big Dunc is only trying to get the males in by old fashioned titilation and was also surprised that so many people made a fuss that it was 'free' beer - you guys can afford to follow your dream team to sth africa so surely free anything isn't a big deal

and as to whoever mentioned mermaids I had no idea they don't have a door charge for females but its hardly relevant as it being 'free' isn't going to draw in that many females attendees. the few chicks i know who've been have generally been dragged along in groups. personally i have nothing about looking at a female body but since the cpl of strippers i know who work there tend to think the male punters are saddos I've got no interest in watching the pretence

ROFL umm why wd the Fever lads care if I was attracted to them or not and whats that got to do with the price of fish. most of my mates are males so hardly hate themselves. and part of the reason i rarely drink is i live way out of town and am a responsible driver esp since i usually head home round 4-6am when there is no public transport

making a comment that 'lovely ladies' isnt a tag to pull in female drinkers is hardly burning my bra - why don't you grow up or maybe you're one of those who havent yet seen a girl without a bra and thats why you're so defensive. and I'm fairly sure that while I might not be suited (or available) to date a fellow NIX fan that none of them would complain if I (or any female over legal age) took our tops off - bra or not

Well since I can't legally drink my input is pretty irrelevant, but as a girl I don't really see anything wrong with having females handing out vouchers for free booze. It wouldn't put me off going there (if I even could in the first place) and lets be honest here, it's an ad appealling to Nix fans, the majority of whom are, and always will be, male. That's life.

I went to Mermaids once. I put $5 in a stripper's garter belt and she let me feel her breast implants. It was creepy. If I wanted to grope soccer balls, I'd be a goalkeeper. Which I am, so there you are.

Actually, the most messed up thing I ever saw was in San Francisco, there were ladies in very tight vinyl dresses handing out Budweiser vouchers. To a table full of gay men, plus me, and they didn't give me any vouchers, which was ironic because I was probably the most likely to want to shag them.

Im not giving away a free pint to ty and gain new female or male customers. This is a marketing promotion but its to say thank you to my loyal customers whose custom I strongly value.
The promo girls Im sure you will find to be really lovely, friendly outgoing young ladies who love their jobs and are very good at it. No one should take offence to the promotion and could we stop making this into something that its not. Its just me giving you a pint.
Remember we are all o here for the same reason, to give support to the Nix. We all just do it in different ways

there is... it's called common sense and nine times out of ten I do ignore your posts but if I pop up and post something about any topic I can always gaurentee you'll have some kind of response - usually negative. it reminds me of guys pulling my pigtails in primary school
