Agree with that too. And the more our pairing up front can play together, the more effective we can play. Will be very interesting how Ricki plays Chen if he turns out really good?

Any chance of playing all four of our most offensive players at once? Ifill, Greenacre, Chen and Bertos?

I would like to see a 442, or atleast a well rounded midfield

So Hard News in midfield then?

Yip perfect. Put him in the walls at freekicks

Didn't work on Saturday...monkeyboy put it straight over me and in to the top right corner... while the ref was still marching us back ten yards.

Hopefully Chen strikes up a good partnership with Greenacre and we can have Bertos and Ifill on the flanks, then 2 of McKain, Brown, Lia, Ferrante, Caceres or Diego in the middle.
You know we belong together...

I think Iffil is best up front adding that bit of extra stregnth and size to our strikers.. Chen (I admit i have never even seen the guy!) and Greeny strike me as being similar players.

Maybe a 4-4-2 with Chen, Greeny and Iffil up front could be good though if we sort out the midfield

a 442 with 3 strikers??

maybe u mean a 433?

nah I couldn't see it working unless Chen works well wide?

yep  4-3-3 sorry... and I know absolutely nothing about Chen so I wont make any comments on where he is best at this stage, but I do like the variety that Ifill gives us up front.

potential 4-3-3 anyways...

     Greeny    Ifill       Chen
    Diego   McKain     Bertos
Lochy    Dura     Siggy   Manny
                 Paston

I like the idea. Would be VERY attacking.

But don't think any of our midfielders would be able to maintain it. Cacaeres/ Daniel / Diego would all have to really track back and I don't know if any of them are that effective in defense. Also McKain wouldn't really be able to control a game for us. In a 433, usually your CM becomes the life blood of your team. If they are having a poor game, or not up to scratch, then your side becomes very hollow very quickly. Like Xavi had a very poor game for Barca in the super cup so Shaktar had more time on the ball and Barca were not nearly as lethal.

It would be Amazing if it worked, but I dont think we would have the quality.
Melbourne have done it with Alsopp/ Thompson / Fabiano but they usually have Hernandez bossing that midfield

I saw a few premier league teams  using a 4-1-4-1 formation which got me thinking..

                       Greeny
Daniel- Diego/Carceres- Ifill-Bertos
                       Brown
   Locky-McKain-Durante-Manny

I'm not a huge fan of one lone striker but if Ricki is going to keep doing it this may be a formation worth looking into i think

Don't mind that formation,

Brown could easily have Lia/Siggy to cover that position aswell.

I want a 4-3-3 at home this week it'd be magic

Think we need to find some way to slot Caceres into a central attacking mid role - though there isn't really a place for him with Daniel and Leo playing well

Caceres should play CAM. for eg.

                   Paston

         Durante    McKain
Manny                         Lochy

                  Brown
Bertos                         Daniel
                 Caceres

          Ifill              Acres

Brown is in a CM role,
Bertos and Daniel playing R/LWM

Would be a very exciting game if we played this. As long as Brown plays like he did last week .

on that note res.

Yep, looks good - only problem is that Ii don't think Brown is good enough defensively to screen the back four on his own. Is a better player when he is free to go forward too.

And Daniel very rarely defends - if we are going to play with Caceras advanced forward, then need people on the flanks to work back (unless Caceras is going to work box to box, which I am not sure he does) - given how leaky our back four has proven to be, could be a worry not to play 2 men in front of our back four...which tends to lead to a 4-3-3

i liked the numbers we got into the box for our crosses. In the past we might have had one or two but we had about six for the Greenie one one time
