Is it me or are some referees making a determined effort to see the Phoenix finish last? The only decent one I have seen so far this season was the one who reffed our 1-0 home loss the other week. Tonights ref showed why I suspect such actiivity.

Fairs fair, some of the free kicks against us were earned and deserved but holy sh*t, we were not the only team on the park doing it. That big coloured player of theirs was going down quicker than Daniel did in our first ever game. That "not a" goal that WAS a goal etc etc.

Maybe it isn't a conspiracey but unless the referring standards starts to play an even field, I will wonder whether or not the Australians actually want us in the A-League.

that ref was a git and his linesman too  some shocking calls, like the corner that never was in the first half when he over ruled the linesman to name one

The ref came in for a lot of abuse at the game, it seemed like every second chant started up after the ref called a shocker or one finally went our way. his bad calls had too much of an impact on the result.

"All we need now is a decent referee - sung to the tune of Yellow Submarine - came from Ailse 23 towards the top somewhere. I was impressed with 23's singing today, it was the best yet from them. The fever fans were in excellent form tonight.

Why is it you silly Nix seem to start complaining every time a loss goes your way or you are at all criticized. Stop with the excuses, the refs are not at all against you and you're kidding yourself if you actually think they are.

I would have considered his critism of us but to use the name Robbie Slater as a username on here is guaranteed to cop this Australian fella a lot of stick - bad move Aussie, I guess you agreed with everyone of tonights refs calls?

His previous Simon Hill multi got banned as well.

He's two for two and heading for an IP banning.  He's welcome back if he fancies coming and using the name he uses on his own clubs forum but at the moment his multi work is just lame so he gets hit with the ban stick.

I like a clever troll but he's just dim.

He did make some Victory are the greatest noises with the Simon Hill one, and they do have a collection of some of the dimmest forum members, but I don't want to tar all Tards with that brush.

Most of those I have run in to outside the Tardboard and The World Game forum are good lads like Kiwi Pie and the regulars here.

Is the Ref a professional??.I have seen some Sh*t Refs in my day ,but he was certainly aided by his side kicks Robin and Batwomen who could not identfy where the white line was or who kicked the ball out.

i remenber at the beginning of the game, both captains got up there and said a speech on they will obide by the rules, and play fair...... so does that not count for the ref's, what the bloody hell were they playing at..... USELESS!!!

watching it as well. That should have been a penatly for Daniel in the box. Taken down not once but twice. Agree with you feverish Dodd has been ripped into

He's got the cuts and bruises to prove it, well done Dodd for sticking to it, great effort

Making rubbish calls is one thing, making rubbish calls all in the same direction is a bit worrying for the state of the competition, but allowing one team to constantly get away with dangerous play is crossing the line.

Funny how he should have pulled cards out a lot more than he did and when he does it against us (Aloisi) now ive seen sum sh*t referring before but that performance has to win. he better not show his as*  at the ring of fire again

And think I said "good. he's not a New Zealander" at the beginning of the game.

I think alot of people want to see the Phoenix fail this year, dont like the fact that they can compete. If i was'nt biased i would say that the ref received money for that performance, if ya know what i mean!! Week in, week out they get bad calls against them!!

Yea well I'm pretty sure the ref got our views on the game loud and clear...... i was watching the replay before and after a freekick you could hear "The referees a Wan**r"
Permalink Permalink

Lol yeah I heard that too. I won't be surprised if security guards start censoring chants at the next match.

An interesting performance. A few of us watched it and came up with 5 yellows.
Aloisi (given)
K Dodd (Persistent Infringement 4 obvious and poor fouls in the first 30 and/or the elbow into Djites head take your pick)
R Johnson (Persistent Infringement, 3 fouls in the first 12, 4 in the first 20)
Cassio (delaying the restart on a quick Phoenix that wasn't taken because of him)
Djite (elbowing K Dodd in the head, not the one that split him open but one before that)

Add in the penalty that wasn't given and you can round it into not one of his better performance. He wont get a poor mark because player safety was not an issue and he wasn't missing the obvious howler tackles like the old fashioned 2 footed scything ones (granted there was none)

I don't think it was a case of the Phoenix getting picked on because there could have been more yellows against us. I think just not reading the game in general would be more accurate.
