Are the Mainland XI being paid in cheese for the match today?

G-acre on at half time

Greenacre has a hit, GK saves. Looking good so far.

Still 0-0

1-0 to the Mainland XI after 48.

Edit: apparently Mulligan scored an own goal off a free-kick. Apparently Ricki forgot to turn him around at half time.

Pre season not looking great so far!

Any further reports on what Greenacre was like?

Last season our pre season was great, regular season start terrible. Maybe the reverse will happen this year.
But 0-0 is still awful. Would have been a boring match

I'm just paranoid because Hibs pre season last season was so bad there were a number of people who were really worried but most people said "wait till the real stuff starts". Turned out the real stuff was crap as well!!!

Yeah but how did diego look behind him? And what was thew defence like?

I'm interested to know how Greenacre looked though? Average? Or did he have some chances?

Hey guys u gotta give credit to mainland they defended ruthlessly and pretty much one everything in the air....

Our team was

                                                                 Crowther
Lia                                         Dura                                        Siggy                                        Muscat

Troy                                        Mully                                             Brown                                  Rojas
                                                                                                                        (rojas replaced by dan

                                                                            Diego ( replaced by lochhead

Costa    ( replaced by greenacre at half time

It was a good match which was dominated by the nix but mainland probably should have won it with a glorious oppurtunity down our end where mainlands number 9 pretty much had an open goal but blazed it over the top.......

As for us Mulligan had a good game in the centre of midfield, Diego was flat, Greenie looked good and forced a good save outta their keeper and Durrante's close range  diving header off a cross by Hearfield was brilliantly saved at point blac range.....

Some fairly average crossing and some great balls knocked in which is a positive....

were we unlucky in front of goal? or did we struggle to create chances?, or (hopefully) did the mianland back 5 play out of their skins and on any other day would we have had 4 or 5?
