The yellow fever supporters

Firstly I would like to say after watching the opening two games played in Australia the night before the wellington Phoenix game, I was really impressed with the Australian supporters for filling up the stadiums with 45 0000 supporters. So I decided to buy tickets to watch the disgraceful Phoenix play. The fans are more worried about bagging the other team. Which always ends up being the winning team. A word of advice, time your support tactics wisely. Don't bag teams and lose the game, you all end up looking like fools. Watch the English premiership and maybe you will learn than the game is not over until the final whistle goes

in what way were the nix disgraceful? they actually played pretty well, the Roar were underpar from previous years and the nix dominated them in big parts of the game....if you look at any other forums then you'll see much the same banter as on here - we all bag the other teams, and I think the YF guys are harsher on our boys than most fans.

I suggest you crawl back into whatever hole you came from.

The zone has obviously lost its way without the guiding hand of Diego's Son.

Great thread.

Kind of pointless threatening YF with "you will all end up looking like fools" though. That horse bolted a long time ago.

Isn't the whole idea to look like fools?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Bunch of lads with their moobs out, half pissed, supporting a losing team and chanting whenever a seagull flys past. Yeah I'm pretty sure we're all fine with looking like fools.

Looking silly is a way of life for some of us fans (Still remembers the only time I ever took my shirt off and regrets the TV coverage as I bent over at that very moment to grab my softdrink). It's meant to be about having fun and if we look foolish doing it, then so be it.

This guy goes on about nobody showing up, so comes to this forum to harass us about it! when 95% of the people here turn up every week and have done for years, but then admits he's a casual fan himself, only turning up because of good crowds on the tele?

In parts of that second half, watching Patrick might have been more interesting.
