being a kiw I understand his unerring faith in certain players but some should be dispensed with.
Player 1: Tony Lockhead..lemon number 1. mixed bag on any given match day. Adds nothing to either the Phoenix or All whites. Has had rings run around him this season and looked very very ordinary in the world cup..Is as skillful as a donkey.
Player 2: Leo Bertos.. lemon number 2. Has no eye for goal. His crosses for a winger are rubbish. God forbid his crosses at the world cup were cut out at the near post everytime dispite us having 191 cm tall strikers. His crosses for the Phoenix are more cold than hot and is predicatable everytime, drops his shoulder when he feints and has no left foot.. Doesn't add anything this season to the team. replace him with Toto.. if bertos was so good where are all the top euro league offers???
Player 3. Dylan Macallistar, hmm the last forward we signed from the CCM lasted only one season. This guy is lazy and has poor position play. Adds as much to the Phoenix as Chris Killen does to the All Whites..... nothing..replace him with anybody who can run...and get into the right position.. Four games no goals hmmm a vaughan Coveny replica?
Player 4. Tim Brown. Should be to the Phoenix what Owen Hargreaves is to the United line up.
workaholic, battling midfielder, holds the ball and releases the strikers, chips with 8-10 goals a season. Looks like he needs a big rest, Poor positional play, crap passing and no vision. Nick Ward should take his spot.
No offense to Rikki but he is a one plan coach, his national team struggle to score more than one goal a match and his Phoenix side have no option B to go to. Shut down Ifill and the whole team has no fluency or direction.
My verdict.
A season that will see the Phoenix struggle to gel...

yeah, its a little early in the season to be cutting "dead wood". Sure there are some little issues that may need working on - gelling could be a big part of it, Leo hasn't been at his best, but will come right, Tim the same. Lochy aint as bad as you seem to think, and Dylan just needs our midfield to come right.
