Tim Brown has been a great servant for the club since its inauguration, and is a wonderful ambassador for the game of football in New Zealand. While he is not currently in the best form, I figure he deserves a thread to commemorate his first 99 matches for the Phoenix.
My favourite moment of his in the yellow shirt would probably be the winner he scored against Sydney in 2008/9. His 40m lob this season is another obvious highlight.
Congratulations Tim on reaching a wonderful milestone.

Yep that one against Sydney is memorable-
I also scared the bejesus out of 30 odd 12 year old Korean kids when I taught them YF chants as part of an English lesson, chucked the game on the big screen and then went absolutely mental when he equalised against Melbourne, allowing for Smeltz to score a brilliant winner later in the piece.

Would it be considered a rip-off of the Rugby World Cup opening ceremony if we hire a bunch of Crown forklifts and have them performing some choreography on the field before the game in honour of him?

Perhaps Yellow Fever should recruit a nurse (Tracey??) to be at the bencher and outside Aisle 22 offering her services before the game to get folks in the mood?

great idea - severely tempted, despite my usual hatred of anything even faintly resembling a costume/fancy dress!!
be a nice way to honour the man

Damn wish I was there >_<
Anyone have access to large amounts of bandaging material that can be brought to the Bencher pre-match to strap everyone up? Would be awesome.

Three more players could potentially raise their bat with a century this season. Current appearances:
Daniel 97
Lochhead 95
Dura 89

Unfortunately, unless they miss games, none of these will bring up their 100 at home.

Timmy's a decent enough player and an important man in the club 4 sure, but he really doesn't have all the qualities needed in a central midfielder imho. Seems Ricki understands this too..."There's always going to be parts of the game that people don't bring in abundance" Stuff
Battleship Brown, pass it back or sideways Brown....
Start a more well-rounded midfielder such as Mr Ward on Sunday please Ricki!!!!

Everything about Tim's 100th game was a let down.
They couldn't even be bothered doing the presentation in front of the loyal fans, who turned up early to be there for it, in horrendous weather. It was a complete insult to do it in the tunnel.
And that was just the start. I'm sorry Tim, I like a lot of what you do, but you were complete rubbish today.
