If Tim Brown doesn't score in a game, he does absolutely NOTHING. If my calculations are right, he's had 79 ineffective games out of those 100 games.

I was p#ssed off with TB before the start of the game, didnt even come out of the tunnel to acknowledge the crowd after his presentation, then to top off a crap game, he just walked off the pitch as soon as the final whistle went, once again no acknowledement of the fans that had turned up, in such sh*tty conditions.

I was p#ssed off�with TB before the start of the game, didnt even come out of the tunnel to acknowledge the crowd after his presentation, then to top off a crap game, he just walked off the pitch as soon as the final whistle went, once again no acknowledement of the fans that had turned up, in such sh*tty conditions.
So my eyes watching a very poor quality stream were not deceiving me then when I saw a number 6 in yellow already inside the tunnel almost before the final whistle had gone?

Brown never has been nor never will be a creative midfielder. He is a ball winner in the centre of the park, and he simply can not be every where. I often wonder if people bagging him all the time actually watch the game.
I would be interested to know jhow much ground he actually covers in a game and how often he ends up covering for Leo or Daniel. If i recall correctly he is close to the top tackler in the A league.
So anyway Tim, Congrats on the 100th game, a great effort

I personally think having them in the midfield leaves far too many gaps.
If either of them makes a run into the box, we effectively have one man in the middle of the park defending against 4 breaking midfielders.
Too often when we are hovering around the box and whipping crosses in, when the ball bounces out of the 18 yard box, we have no one hovering around the edge of it to get the ball back, and the other team breaks and generally gets chances at the other end.

He has the second most fouls conceded in the league which would indicate he's not very good at tackling.
I would also be interested to know how much ground he covers, and how much this relates to where the ball is, because he and the ball rarely seem to be in the same place at the same time.

He seems to tend to track players in midfield rather than ever get near the ball.
He doesnt actually seem to make that many tackles, rather those sliding dives for the 50/50 balls that often end in fouls, or the situations where he has the ball then loses it and fouls the guy,

He/they knew it was going to happen.
The club were making the presentation, to one of their own.
They were in complete control. They could have done it whenever they liked, wherever they liked.
If they didn't want it to interfere with pre-game preparation they could have done it 45 minutes before kick off.
If Tim didn't want to get wet early they could have had 5 people with umbrellas for him.
If he said "If I am going to get wet, let's do it as late as possible.", they could have done it one minute before the team announcements, and he could have ducked back into the tunnel.
They didn't think about, or if they did think about it they didn't care about Tim acknowledging the fans, many of whom had gone out and purchased head banages to honour him. It was amateur. It was insulting. It was BS.

We had a joke that after he received his award, he'd slip over going to the training ground and injure himself so he wouldnt even play his 100th.

Congrats Tim on the result but too often this season he has seemed invisible on the pitch. I want the "Old Tim" back - one that got involved and made things happen. I like you Tim but even you must know that your appearances of late are not up to your old high standards.

I like Tim Brown but I watched the first half on replay this morning and kept my eye on Brown the whole time (as the camera allowed) and really couldn't help but feel he was completely ineffectual.

Yeah it does seem those who are saying his performances aren't up to scratch are (generally) those who are attending home games and are able to actively watch him off the ball. I've been doing it for a long while now, and it seems a lot of people are doing it too.
Those who back him etc (again, generally) seem to be out of towners watching on tv.
Not saying out of towners are less of a fan etc etc,so don't even go there.
