Hope this happens!
There havnt been the smoothest of PR transitions while Tonys been gone.
Sounds good.
Also speak of new sponsorship next year

No it doesn't. "We've got some big things planned with sponsorship and for the Phoenix in the future and Nathan's going to be a big part of that."
Doesn't mean a new sponsor. COuld be something with the current ones.
ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

We do want Tony back, he is the Friar Tuck to our Robin.Azevo2010-12-21 19:14:45
We will never fully decide who has won the football.

We do want Terry back, he is the Friar Tuck to our Robin.
I don't think Terry ever left mate.
Three for me, and two for them.

Saw him at a cafe aye with Terry last week and started to get excited! Great news!

Tony P back at the helm would be "Priceless"

nothing to discuss. Hurry back Tony.

YUS! What a great coup for the club.

Sign him and play him upfront imo.
I don't know, do they play him in a central role so he's in the middle of the action, or out wider in a more creative position?

Best signing this season. I like Nath but he was a temp replacvement, Tony and the Phoenix born together, should still be together.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I thought Tony was a fantastic CEO - his passion for the club was obvious, he was very good at the job and he connected with the supporters.
My only reservation in him coming back is that living away from your family, even with frequent visits home, is tough. I'm not sure how long that would be sustainable.
If Tony, his family and Terry can find a formula that works then I would love to welcome Tony back but he, and his family, really need to think hard about whether or not it really is a good idea.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Mrs P lives in Melbourne and Tony wants to commute..

if that's what it takes to get him back to the club, I have no problems with it.

Terry is already stretched financially though isn't he. He most likely cannot afford to pay for Tony P's trips home every other week.

Who says Terry will be paying for them.
I'd say he'd be on a salary...which any other CEO would be on. So its not like its costing him more.
Allegedly

Thats the way executive deals like this usually work.

It's just like Christmas..

C'mon Terry, bring back Tony, even if it means using cash meant for the IRD or ACC. Like the T-shirt says, the DomPost, ACC and IRD 'Won't Mess with P"

Depends on the situation and who wants who. If the club wants a particular person, that person wants $X in hand. That would mean to work somewhere involving lots of travel he would demand $X+Y.
It depends who wants who more.

Must have missed the point...
It is not an ideal situation where you have the CEO domicieled in another country and commuting to work.It can only ever be short term, whether it is the job or the family that breaks, one will.

Even if we can give him a less important role, I'd take him.
Maybe he's based in melbourne and just has a sub role but still stays involved with the club. Like an aussie representative?

Luckily Terry has a bottomless pit he can drag money out of any time he wants.
