Can anyone tell me what has happened to Toto??? We signed him basically sight unseen and heard how he was our missing attacking link then bam nothing hes dissapeared!!! Is he injured or have we just found out that he's not up to standard?

Id love to see him have a chance somewhere soon as this long ball carp that we have been playing is embarrasing.

To be honest he and Ifill are the ones likely to be omitted.

EDIT: Forgot about Lochhead.  Toto will probably get a bench spot at least, then.

Mariners have Perez and Adelaide have Flores - I want a good Argentine playmaker!

Ifill, Locky out, so toto should be on the bench, may not get tgame time, he didn't last time we played in aweful weather.

He played a nice Cameo and won a header when everyone else was about two feet taller than him.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I have been a Toto skeptic, but thought he looked OK in his wee cameo tonight. Had a shocking shot at goal, but did a few nifty things up the left hand side.

Worth a bench spot in the near future, and may even be able to force his way into the team

Only based on a glimpse, but I thought there were signs of promise.

I know, I know, its serious!

yeah wasnt sure of him, but he was quite good technically. think he could easily ply a bigger role in the future. wants to play the early ball which is good

Amazing performance, must be worth a start next week.

im just going to assume that the only reason he hasnt been getting game time is because ricki must be happy with everyone else at the moment, the same reason why pastons finding it difficult to break back into the starting squad.
toto looks quite good and pretty quick, seems to cover a lot of ground really quickly. its probably going to take someone to start having really sh*t games or get injured for toto to establish himself as a regular.

with Lia suspended and Manny covering for Lochy he might get a start if Timmo (and to a lesser extent Nick W) can be relied on to sit deep

seems more likely for a home game though

He looked not bad tonight, and I must admit I was surprised.

He's like Diego and Chen...hearalded signing but not better than anyone else we got. He wont play unless there is an injury because whom is he going to replace?

We can rave about him all we like, but he's not good enough to start. If he was, he would be already and then you'd have to name someone to drop for him in the appropriate position.

Grumpy old bastard alert

he's shown a lot more than Chen in his minutes on the park

he has enough to contribute off the bench esp if we have injuries suspensions

for a home match if Ward is unavailable he might be an option when he gets used to the style of play i)from his team mates and ii) in a-league

I wouldn't write him off

I agree....He seems to have a lot of ball skill nad maybe when he gets used to the style of play at the nix..could be good

Indeed, he's the Ward type of player, and Ricki wouldn't have known that he was going to sign Ward when he signed Toto. He's got potential, he's always looking for the early ball and has some good skills at his feet, give him time.

give him more time, I'm not sure of him defensively, but I reckon he could be quite good attacking their backline, also seems quick as, him and bertos on either flank with balls dinked over the top could be dangerous

was impressed by him winning headers last night, considering he is only 4'3"
