Ah the cold light of day...reflecting on the overnighter efforts...too many beers...too much idle time, tsk tsk....
where is everyone?
late sleepers, no doubt.

the thought of getting out of bed on a grey day....a little dis-carriaging,  perhaps?

Ah yes - getting the right signal now.

Back to the topic, we'll need all the supporters the trains can carry for the CCM match after tonight's result. But at least they aren't our bogey team.

Our lads ran out of puff yesterday in the second half.  What needs to be done to electrify them and spark(y) them into high speed performances?

We need to engineer a solution soon otherwise we're on a one-way trip to nowhere.

Got to de-couple ourselves from the performances of the last few weeks.

Always best to dodge the bullet that is a HN admonishment.

This thread is on the fast track to Off Topic.  I have expressly forbidden these sort of branchlines off points.

I don't think so, Thomas always seemed to respect The Fat Controller

You know we belong together...

At this junction,
I would gauge from the none-too-subtle threats from the ...Conductor/Fat Controller?, ...coupling that with other strong views from those that know... all
point to a "line closure" imminently.
Well HN... how does it feel to be the bogey, man?

IBTL, but...

..what happened to a ballast discussion ,that's what I'd like to know?
I like to be local,loud.. express myself.
There's no locomotive asian on my part for keeping this thread running but, before I go, make the connection for yourselves, steams to me that switching topics will be a necessity...!
Are we in Berhampore or Beijing? Taita or Teheran?
Miramar or Mos cow.Catcher 'round.

Just when you thought this thread might have died a natural death......or a nasty one if the overnight goods train had done its job properly....

Here's a link to Metlinks txtTRAIN service...text updates to your phone on the next train services available, so you can always get the right connection to Wellington and the ROF when it counts!

Now, a question for the trainspotters, or should I say, those who were brainwashed as a child and knew that trains talked....

"... there's a loose wheel on this carriage...but which one is it?????"

(clue...if you are under 30, or never heard the Children's Requests on 2ZB on a Sunday morning when you were a kid,you might find this one difficult....)

Anyone have trouble with the trains today?

I ended up not being able to go to the game as I got back into Wellington at 4.30pm having waited at Upper Hutt station since 2.25pm! Missed the 2.30pm train as never had any cash and had to go and get some, but didn't think it was a big deal since the next train was due at 3pm. An hour later, still no train - ended up getting a rail replacement bus back to Wellington as nobody seemed to have a clue if a train was going to come or not.

Ended up watching the game in Trax Bar in the station!

I can confirm I was feeling 'angst' after about 70 minutes of waiting for a train that never came

Me.

Waited for a 3.25 that never came, and was informed later that there were buses replacing it - only they never stopped at Epuni. Ended up missing the first half hour. Really annoyed at Tranz Metro.
