I took it as some people knew in advance, got cheap/free tickets, then the prices of the rest were adjusted (raised) accordingly so they make $x out of them.

Usually a testimonial game is announced at the start of a season with ongoing events organised by the pkayers friends, family and fans plus the club puts up for a game and dinner. I guess here in NZ we do things half hearted. I would have loved to attend both events plus Auckland but I wont be able to make any I imagine it is not just me. Despite the live/hate relationship Vinnie gets from various fans, 10 years at the club deserves recognition, proper recognition.
Some of it is a lot of money to stump up at short notice. Hopefully, like me, you can at least make the game? It's going to be a good day, if the weather plays it's part.
