Everyone on FB pages such as A-League Memes is voting for Central Coast Mariners so that kid has to live through the pain of supporting them for a whole season. I'm glad to say I chipped in for the Mariners.

A whole season? We're condemning him for life.

Yeah, but I can't see him not giving up on football as a whole after becoming a Mariners fan. He'll be an AFL or NRL fan by halfway through 2017 or he'll come to his senses and support another team.

So apparently Yoshi was going to choose us but  Cahill told him that no matter who he chooses he will always be welcome at city and that was the clincher.

I didn't realise Yoshi was real, I thought it was all made up for marketing purposes

He did the weta tour and went to the Mt Vic lookout with Dura when he was here, those must have between enough to draw him in because our games certainly haven't been.

Surely this has to be one of the worse marketing campaigns the FFA has run and they've had a few stinkers.  Why are marketing campaigns so poor downunder (Aus and NZ)?  Are our best working in Europe and Asia?

In general the quality of advertisements in NZ seem quite a bit higher than in other countries (although the yelling at you ads are too common now).

I thought the campaign was good, we're just not the demographic, it's like people laughing at the fact that City included Yoshi in the squad - sure it's stupid if you're an adult but if you're 10 years old it's fudgeing awesome.
