Flying down Saturday evening. Very excited. We are going to unleash one of these days - probably not Sunday as Adelaide is a classy outfit, but it won't be far away. Will be disappointed if I don't come home with a round yellow blob sticker.

Think we've still got one at home. Might dig it out.

I'm certainly taking my yellow blob for an outing "back home" if I can find it!!!

I'm slightly disappointed!

over 10 000 tickets sold

I said we would get 18-20 thousand last season, weather forecast is excellent...we should get 16+
people will wait until the day in Chch

I'll be on the field and will be sure to wave out to the Yellow Fever contingent.

So the Phoenix players are all going to be in the Square tomorrow I heard.  SB told me some details but I somehow managed to delete all the texts off my phone without knowing (how does one do that?) so if anybody knows what's happening and when it'd be appreciated.

They were stuck on the seats to signify the "Yellow" Fever zone. They could be peeled off.

Became quite the fashion accessory for a time.

I know, I know, its serious!

The Nix will have to play out of their skins to win this one. The talk coming out of the team about travel fatigue and needing a rest is not a good sign. hopefully the big crowd will rev them up for a good performance. I hope they do well but I am not confident at all.

I am hoping for the same endeavor as we had against the Sydney Handball team. We held them in their half for most of the second half and looked more like a team capable of winning matches.

Score early, make the reds chase hit them on the counter, 3-0 Nix

WELL IN!

I wonder if the shaky ground will have an effect on the outcome?

Might have re-injured his ankle

[edit]

Young Marcos Rojas who impressed in the 35min he played in the Sydney rain is likely to again get game time but Herbert admitted he is not ready to play 90min.

I am super impressed with him and he is a really promising talent. Not sure how he'd do with a full 90 mins on the park. Be interesting to see though.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

we just need to give him the chance, start him, we need that spark early on, so he actually has time to impact the game

Not if he isn't fully fit, its better to have him running hard for 30 minutes at tired players. Which is what Ricki has been doing. But yeah I'm a Rojas fan for sure now.

People that are calling for him to start don't seem to realise he's just recently come back from a relatively long-term injury. Ricki is doing the right thing - giving him 5, 10, 30 mins and just building it up each week.

it'll easy be highest reg season gate for Phoenix for the season

we will have to get 2 games next season.
as SB indicated it's a bonza day here in the Garden City, in the words of sultry 70's siren Stevie Nicks, "I Can't Wait".

3-1 Dragons
3-1 Phoenix
