Christ, we've gone back to the bad old days - Brent Griffiths reminds me of Old/O'Dor. Can't even do a simple 2m pass right.

Sanchez has been getting a free ride for the last few weeks too - even when we were winning he wasn't playing well. Is carrying an injury or what? He's playing like Nicky Ward. Gives the ball away every time he gets it.

All in all just showing what a weak squad we have - without Dura our defence is a shambles and without Tim there is no one ever in the box.valeo2012-02-18 20:24:22

Ifill has had to come back to our own freaking penalty box because we can't make 2m pass out of defence

He is annoying the hell out of me too. Seriously, he is underperforming. Not working, not chasing, coughing up easy possession and muffing passes. He is really costing us in that midfield today.

Is Lia the worst selection week in week out made by Ricki, if he`s not giving the ball away, he`s committing fouls, out of position and having rings run around him. The only pass I saw him complete was an unnecessary back pass to Pasty.
 
Surely Ricki must drag him, and never use him again!!

It just doesn't make sense to me. What happened to that classy player who did the simple things to a high standard? That's why I'm assuming he has some sort of niggling injury that is affecting him. I noticed Smith has been having to shout at him all game to track his man too. Surely you can't turn sh*t overnight.valeo2012-02-18 20:31:00

You've been sucked in by the commentators. Lia's had a half to get used to it, no doubt there'll be a message for him at halftime. The passes in the top third are letting us down, but other than that - hey, CCM haven't scored, we're holding up and will come out with some inspiration. The commentators are watching their own fantasy football - CCM aren't that good!

It's not simply that. Playing in a different position doesn't mean you suddenly lose the ability to do even the simplest things. He's had more than enough time there now so he should be able to do the job his coach wants him to do and he clearly isn't. Not just today either IMO.
