That I agree with too.

Looking back on the game, Rigters was awful for GC, should have done much better.
And why didnt Rees slide in on Muscat on the goal line - Im sure he could have forced that in. Shame.

one thing though, what the hell were the in-game interviews with that reprobate Miron all about? Absolute sh*te as usual from Fox. Absolutely awful, painful stuff.

I and a couple of others posting thought they were quite good. When you listen to Mirons thought process, it seemed perfectly sound and logical. I always thought he was just a mouth piece but he shows he knows what he is doing (yes ok he is an A League coach but its Miron)

He went up a couple of notches with me today.

Lets be fair it was a bloody good goal.
Why Daniel wasnt playing I have no idea. Ifill never really looked 100%, and we would have been better starting Daniel and using Ifilll as supersub as he managed in the last couple of weeks.
As much as Ifill has been the star recently and Daniel has played well, I agree that those two swapped might have provided more. Its all if's and buts though now...

My penny's worth on that.
Maybe Miron knows the writing's on the wall, he doesn't care anymore  cos he's about to get the boot.
A coach broadcasting to the whole world what he's going to do in the game is pretty weird.Shouldn't he have his total attention on the game?
Ricki wouldn't have a bar of that rubbish, surely?
Miron went all quiet after that Tim Brown goal too didn't he?

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

We enjoyed the commentary here too. Miron will be more entertaining than most other managers though. Wouldnt mind Magilton getting wired up. Ricki would be no good, all football cliches etc

Fuck this stupid game

Get Kosmina miked up. That would be funny

Both This.

I'm glad Rigters walked on us and I thought he was their handbrake. f**ked around on ball too much and was lightweight. Diving into Siggy?? If you wanna go down, just ask him, he'll smash you alright.

I don't get the 'well he is fast so we are putting Downey, a RB, up front.' If Warner was faster, would Ricki have put him up front? Some odd subs and the formation at the end, who knows what it was, but its all ifs and buts and we have 3 points.

I'd get Muscat miked up only because he then couldn't tell everyone to f**k off.

Great result for us, those three points are immense.

The back Four had a very good game, especially Soggy.

Keep on risking Ricki.
.....Gold Coast were the ONES risking everything for the win...Ricky dropping to 3 at the back with 10 minutes to go..in search of the win..........subs ok but on form Daneil should have started..Ward and Ifill looked both to carring injuries...Great result...

Pav>>Downey

Very suprised at Daniel's limited game time. Does that count as an assist for him?

Fingers crossed. Much more to do on this road trip. Be nice to score a few away from home too!

Also good for us to remember other teams can have the Thompsons, Van Dyks, Kewells and so on- but Brown turned up trumps for us today. even if we had got a top name striker they might not have done as well as our motley collection of mids have collectively (Sanchez, Brown, Ward, Smith, Daniel all on the score sheet)

Must say that you are very lucky over in Oz to get so much football coverage and follow-up.

This one was particularly good because there was no Bosnich, Slater or Harper.

Also having an attractive woman talk about footy is very erotic. Although knowing that she supports Man U does ruin the moment.

Strangest subs Ive ever seen.

First Bertos, whose been playing crap lately.

Second Downey (wtf?) . To be fair he did his job, which was obviously to make everyone else look good.

Third we finally bring on Daniel, whos been making all our chances for us recently, but leave on Ifill who running like he has a broomstick up his ar*se

Fourthly , we bring on Brown to score the winner - thats the best sub Ricky has made for ages I think he should use 4 subs more often

If that was Downeys job, then he was outstanding!

I liked the bit where he let it slip that he was f*cked off with Ricki for leaving him on the bench for so long and then made some comment about Scouse b#stards.

He isnt a striker, although had he scored that 1v1 he might have been playing upfront in the future

Ignoring what the other team were doing for a moment though, I've never seen Ricki actually try anything slightly daring for an away match. Ok I'm late to the scene but the games I've watched away Ricki has been pretty predictable in terms of formation, lineup, and subs.

It was our fans out chanting the GCU crowd that did it.

Re Commentary, I don't mind this newish bloke.
Sounds a bit like Bear Grylls but he's not so over the top & forced like the other lot.

Mel could support Spurs for all I care..that'd be ok by me.

I think you misunderstood me. Until tonight Ricki's always seemed to play it completely "safe" and been entirely predictable.

I was saying that one positive I will take away from the game is that despite the subs being seemingly non-logical, at least he seemed to shift attitude and "dare" to do things differently.

How do you see it?
