There's gonna be trouble if we don't win this game.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I just ask why you do it to yourself. You know that Brown is guaranteed to start. Ricki hasn't listened and is very much unlikely to do so anytime soon.

If Ifill is fit, I would start him instead of Greenacre. We struggle to score goals away, so need as much of our attacking weapons on the park from the start.

WTF Jeff?

He's got Brown in his line up. What are you on about?

What colour is your poo-schmear Jeff? Are you on a broccoli only diet and pooing green or something?

Ifill has to start for leo or greeny. Id prefer to leave greeny on for this one

Smith in for brown, ifill in for Leo = what a team!

it would be a damn good team. No offence to greeny, but if we had that side with a real dangerous goal scorer then we would be pretty hard to stop

I've often wondered what impact switching Sanchez and greenacre around would have. It seems their qualities are more suited to the others position.

Greenacre runs hard, plays others in. Sanchez is dangerous and can finish.

Yeah team selection will be interesting for this week. Assuming Iffy is fit to start, Ricki's going to have to make some changes to make room for him.

Hard to see him dropping Leo, Brown, Sanchez or Lia so I'm picking Daniel to the bench. Also, a few fumbles and "that" goal on Sunday might see Paston back but that's inconsequential.

                    Warner/Paston

Manny      Siggy          Dura        Lochy

                 Lia            Brown

       Ifill           Sanchez          Leo

                      Greeny

Although we have seen Greeny on the bench before so it could be a swap with him instead.

Thoughts?

We are still allowed to post the starting lineups that we would want to see, there is no reason to be completely negative all the time. Yes, Brown is always going to be starting, but there is no need to be negative about it.

I'd say it wont look too different to that. I suspect Daniel would be his whipping boy which he normally is and that would be the wrong call. He did mention last week about giving Greenacre some rest for Ifill.... It'll be 1 of the 3 (Ifill, Daniel, Greenie) not in that starting core. This is the core that has been doing it for us as getting points (along with last weeks performance )

Someone will suggest starting Bertos at RB, dropping Brown and starting Pav and putting Smith in as a DM or equally way off what we have done pretty much all season... Give it time.

And most people posting those stupid line ups swear it works because they won 15-0 with it on FM 2012. Its the same place as you are likely to see a team of Vinnie Lia's (interesting concept), or perhaps Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney starting in a stripey.... Most people try to post the most attacking team possible and forget about ball winners or DM's so really, whats the point. Its fantasy football so you may as well turn the PS3 on and get busy living that fantasy.

Who would be the most likely to knobble him??? Burns would get my vote, although Musc**t would probably try and come out of retirement to get the chance!!!

I was going to say Burns as well. Juninho mentioned that this was the most physical league he ever played in and he got lumped a lot because he was too quick for the clumbsy local defenders. Its what killed Felipe in this league. He was quick and skillful and teams knew it but if you lumped him twice in the early minutes, he became a passenger for the rest of the game.

True but you must admit there is a strong likelihood of it based on history unfortunately.

I dont think this is the case buddy. We all know brown and leo are gonna be starting, but that doesnt mean its a crime to post what we actually want to see.

And I dont think people have been trying to post the most outrageously attacking formation. The calls for smith and Ifill to replace Brown and Bertos respectively are fair and a few of us are under the opinion that the team would play better in that situation.

If this isnt the place for someone to post what formation they want to see in the game, then where is?

I was up at Newtown Park this morning dropping someone off for athletics training. The Nix squad were not there (10.30 a.m) but Paston was there practicing....Lindsay and Zucco were belting in crosses to him. Read what ever you like into that....

Looks like a a simple clash between those picking the team they would like to see and those picking the team they think Ricki will pick.

                                               PASTON

Tsattalios or Griffiths                   SigmUnd               DURANTE                LOCKHEAD

                             SMITH        MUSCAT      DANIEL

                                             SANCHEZ

                                IFILL                 PAVLOVICH

Bench - Ward, Lia, Warner, Bertos

BASED ON CURRENT FORM.

No room for Brown (terribly off form), Greenacre (has been ineffectual and needs a break) and Bertos to come on only as an impact late in the game when he's had a chance to feel the kick up the ar$e he really needs.

Go for the jugular against a GCU young team, give either of the two young fullbacks a crack.

Don't bother telling me this aint gonna happen...of course it won't, but it should!

So if you know its a dumb idea, then why suggest it? Nick the Greek? Griffiths? Really? Why should those guys who have not been in the match day squad or had any matches be picked over established and better players. Change for the sake of change?
