Paston is 34. And maybe when he recovers from his injury he'll decide maybe it's over for football for him. I mean, I hope to god not, but it is a possibility.

He's been the Tin Man for a while now so even though he's not that old for a keeper (could have another 4 or 5 seasons really), I think all the recent injuries might just be the deciding factor.

Maybe he had a free ticket

YF regular 'CBoz' and a few others are over there for the game, and apparently got tickets from Ifill's complimentary allocation. His twitter had a bunch of posts between him and Ifill's missus sussing out picking them up

FIRE UP GAME DAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PHOENIX

Dam right, especially after these from the a-league site -

Thwaite wants Phoenix scalp
Gold Coast United defender Michael Thwaite believes a good showing at home against the Wellington Phoenix on Saturday night will help in building a massive crowd for Sunday week's free admission match at Skilled Park.

Brown back for more
GOLD Coast United livewire James Brown has dined out on the Wellington Phoenix twice already this year, and the young forward will be hoping to do it once more when the two sides face off at Skilled Park on Saturday night.

Brown was right and Van den Brink rather than Thwaites

If Greenacre had popped his head out of his shell and applied it to the ball in the first half that game could've been a lot different.

Probably the most clueless display yet - wots the point of hitting long balls all night if D Mac isn't there. Don't get it.

That game need shooting at half time - put us all out of our misery - absolutely appalling football.

What's our strategy - let's go over and kick the sh*t out of them. Shear genius - two goals ultimately resulted from free kicks and we've lost 2 players for the next game.

On the upside brain dead Liability won't be playing next week and young Musa should get a run.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

I think a lot of us targeted this game as a key game for our season in terms of finally picking up some away points, now we have slipped to seventh and all the teams above us except for Brisbane have games in hand on us.

Now Paston's out, we've lost Dura and we have to take on in-form Newcastle.

A lot of pressure on us now. From our last 10 games we will need to pick up points in probably 6-7 of those, and full in points in most of those.

Things will need to take a dramatic turn for us to get anywhere near what we achieved last season I feel.
