Expecting three points here after last night.

No Mirjan Pavlovic who has been strong off the bench thus far.

Paston for Vuko otherwise same 11?

Oh wait I don't like Paston..    whooooooooo2010-09-16 13:34:42

there are only two guys in here who know what they are talking about tbf.

not much use to anyone else when you don't understand...

Same starting team, I'd prefer North than Sigs at RB though. One or two half time subs to rest some players as well.
You know we belong together...

The title is in exactly the same format as the Victory one was... Just saying.

The line-up I'd like to see;

                    Vuko
Hearfield North  Dura  Lochy
                   Manny
              Ward   Brown
      Ifill                        Leo
                 Greenie

Bench: Paston, Mac, Daniel, Lia (if fit)

Sigmund out for Hearfield - as I've said a number of times love Siggy's commitment but he is just too slow for a WB and doesn't offer enough going forward. Unfortunately for him it's fresh midfield legs we will need on the bench so no room there for a spare CB.

Will it happen - probably not.

P.S. After their performances last night I can't see our CB pairing being anything other than Dura / North barring injury, suspension or international duty - they were rock solid and both so confident on the ball.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Sigmund lets himself down on attack but Hearfield lets himself down on Defense. SO on balance id rather see Sigmund at right back. Thought he played quite well against Victory.

I'm a stickler for detail.  Just saying.

Plus it stops numpies from asking when the game is and what channel is it on.

Could easily see either Leo or Ifill being rested and giving Daniel a start.

If Siggy is at RB, which is likely then Leo has to start to give us something down the right, or Ifill goes right and Daniel stays left.

So, same starting team for me. They played well - just score!!

Loving having Ward

Looks good to me, don't think Siggy is answer at rightback he looked at sea to be honest and as you say offers little going forward. Hearfield has his weaknesses but he could be a decent RB siggy with no pace and little skill will always struggle.

I'd be tempted to give Bertos another turn on the bench as while he worked hard against Victory he offered no real support or service to Greenacre.

                 vuko
     Siggy-Dura-North
Muscat--------Lochhead
        Brown-Ward
   Ifill-----------Daniel
             Greenacre

Bench= Paston, Big Mac, Bertos, Toto

TBH would love to see Pav instead of greeny but maybe another week we will give it a shot, also maybe bringing Big mac in for Lochhead and making it a 3-5-2

I think we'll go with the same starting line up as the Victory game but with Big Mac in for Pav on the bench. Depending on how things are going but if we are on top and scoring, expect to see 1 or maybe 2 early subs soon after half time.

Why on earth people do people want to change a formation that has just produced our two best performances this season?

From the Pav makes Olyroo's thread:

The 20-player squad will assemble in Sydney on Wednesday 15 September for a two day training camp before departing for Vietnam on Friday 17 September where they will play matches against the Under 23 National teams of DPR Korea & Kuwait and also the Vietnam National team.

I expect to see the same line-up. We completely shut down the central channel for the Victory, by shutting down Hernandez. That extra man in the middle is very nifty. If Ifill and Bertos can step up a notch for this game, 3 points isn't out of the question.

Why isn't it kickoff yet???

I am hanging out like an addict waiting for 'fix'....
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Because it's 11:34 on a Friday morning. Kick off is 5:00 on a Sunday afternoon. I hope that clears it up for you DF.

Three for me, and two for them.

I'd love to, but I'm skint in both time and money - Collingwood making the finals always wipes me out of cash! I look forward to seeing and hearing you lot dominate those pea heart disgraces!

If you have a Football game (Fifa/Football manager) you could setup a game to play full length and sit back and watch it.

Forgetting of course that in the game against Bahrain it was Sigmunds charge forward that led to the corner which resulted in the goal....

And when Siggy is at right back you get many more chances to shout "Maraud Siggy, Maraud"
