A frustrating loss, in a game we could (should) have won.
Sanches added a much needed spark, and needs a start next week to boost his confidence Pav also adds something, but not sure what
Ifil was good, but is just not getting the ball - too many hopefull lobs into the box
Lia is a Liability at present... and Greenacre is off the boil a bit.

Having said that, we should beat Perth at home

you are joking about LIa?   apart from a great goal last week I'd say that Timmy was back to his absentism best.  I thought Leo was going to have a cracker today after the first 5 minutes...faded out of the game

Was hoping for a great Phoenix win tonight and for Sydney to be crushed by my 2nd team Brisbane. Very very disappointed.

I really feel this season is stop start, can't get any momentum going. Picking the crowd on Saturday night ain't going to be great.

interesting to hear the comments re Killen, not happy playing div 2 in china, perhaps we can pick him up as a marquee? could give greenacre someone to play off, and put Ifill back in the mids where he is most valuable.

Killen and a rb please

        Greeny    Killen
Sanchez  Ward/Brown   Ifill
              Muscat
Lochhead Dura Suggy  RB
           Warner/Paston

Thats a team that could actually push for the title imo

I have to say Killen would be a bonus right now, but we need to get Sanchez to start.

Why wasn't Sanchez out there to start, when Ifill was looking menacing? Why did they bring Pav on instead of Daniel? Ward had a very poor game, but they didn't think to sub him off earlier.

Game didn't make much sense tonight.

Sanchez didn't start because he's coming bacck from injury. Same as Ifill against Adelaide.

Sanchez was only out for a couple of weeks.....unlike Ifill he would have not been un match fit to start. He would have been good to start IMO and then hook him if he fatigued later in the game. He sure changed things when he came on.....that boy has class!!

He is the biggest waste of space at the Nix, gets in all the right possessions but has no brain or skill factor to make it pay off. I`ve seen plenty of superior talent in local football!

To be fair, he's looking better than he did last season!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I dont understand why Ricki does it this way. Surely there is a case for them starting and coming off later when they are tired. Then you get your best team on the park to start. You arent limited to them having only a 15min cameo, they may well be able to give you a full half, or more.

What if one or two got injured in the first 10 mins, they'd be on straightaway wouldnt they. ??

After all it worked so well when Ifill was injured in the opener and we rushed him straight back to the starting line-up against Newcastle.

I find this an interesting observation, as every time Pav's played against such opposition, he's looked two classes above any of that local talent.

And as for Lia, how many more times is he going to give the ball away this season, as well as thinking he can score goals, lay it off to someone who can!

I disagree 169%.

Lia neutralised & played better than Fred. Thats a good effort.

I think you should be looking at the other chicken running around beside him in the middle.

But Sanchez had a trial at Gold Coast and they didn't take him on, so he must be sh*t.

I am not sure which game you watched. I watched him a couple of times and he was, still is and always will be, an average player. Although I must admit, he runs a lot, if that's what makes him look two classes above in your view I have to agree.
