yea, I agree. costa and draper and both great footballers, but to experiment with them now at this end of the season would be mad. theyve hardly played yet and to mix things up would be stupid. perhaps if we fall out of finals contention completely sure they'll get their chance, but for now while the goings good I reckon stick to what we have.

If Costa and Draper are great players, what words are left to describe (the footballing talents of a) of a Wayne Rooney or Ronaldinho? Super-great? Super-duper-great?

Let's stay in the reality zone. Costa and Draper are at best potentially good players.

These seem to be pointless discussions. The real question perhaps is should Draper get some game time ahead of Kwasnik who has had several oppurtunities to make his point.

As Leeds Chris I think it was said, Draper has been good in reserves, he pulled off a nice turn against Brazil in the Olympic campaign...He has been on the books but had no chance outside training to make his case. And sometimes people play differently in training to games. Rise to the occasion.

Kwasnik has been unlucky a couple of times, but also been ineffectual at times.

Our better games have in part been down to a lot of pressure on the other team when they get the ball and for this reason I think Hearfield has been useful in our games, despite an uninspired performance on attack last game.

Dont see the logic in this given that of the four teams ahead of us one has a far better GD,one has 2 games in hand and the other 2 have one game in hand.So even a win dosnt really help that much.
Maybe it would be better to say that the next five games are the most important as they certainly cant afford to losing to many of those.

The game will be on FSC here at 3am. I'll be wearing Black and Gold and Cheering on the 'nix from across the pond.

It'll be weird Cheering For Fred, but I think I'll manage

Aussie weather site reckons Brisbane's humidity, an hour ago, was a pleasant 51%.

Yep I noticed it was on Fox Soccer (I'll probably be streaming it via Fox Soccer)... TBH it would probably have been better for them to broadcast either CCM vs Newcastle or Melbourne v Sydney, both good games (MEL v SYD was great).

Also Fred cancelled his guest stint due to family reasons so you won't have to cheer a DCU player which will no doubt make you happier :)

C'mon the MIGHTY Phoenix!!!

I have a good feeling about this game - solid performance all round but we boss them in midfield and a 2-1 win!!!

Try http://www.channelsurfing.net/ courtesy of HN from last nights game, worked OK for me.

Also if you have TVUPlayer it's on the channel called "Soccer" (Fox Soccer) now.
