Agreed.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Any chance we've signed the Perth Glory Ward rather than the Melbourne Victory one ?

I prefer to think of myself as ready to be turned.

...and it's only when they're Australian.

Another midfielder...Im reminded of the Monty Python quote about "more #$^%%&**& gondolas".

Definately need to go 3-5-2 now..and use subs better.

Why didn't we just keep Caceres? He's better than Ward.

Worst player at Melbourne for the past 2 seasons.

Only reject we've signed that has surprised me is Reddy.

I think we're likely to see him start for Lia and North in place of Muscat on Sunday yes?

No.  North in Europe with the Socceroos, and little to no chance Muscat would be dropped on form so far this season.

Good enough signing. But anyone get the feeling that pretty soon there will be no kiwis in the starting 11?

Allegedly

as long as he touches the ball and can play 2-3 metre passes hes good enough.

Hilariously underwhelming signing.  Give him a proper haircut and he could be alright, though Caceres is a far better player.  I suppose Ward can't be worse than Lia, can he?

Initial reaction agree with Therk. Why do we need another Aussie reject in the squad esp in mid field. Can only have so many on the bench.  Then read the article and well suppose as we dont have a reserve team playing anyone on the bench we have to have proven depth and training needs to be hard with the players wanting to get into the starting team.

As long as we dont loose any more keepers to injuries with more competitive training sessions.

Fair enough too. For once I would agree.

I would much rather have seen us sign Clapham for 2 or 3 years and look to develop him than sign another average Aussie for a year.

Paston

Siggy/Muscat Dura North
Lia
Brown       Ward
               Ifill                      Bertos/Toto/Daniel
Greenacre
Pav/Mac

Subs options
Bertos/Daniel/Toto
Pav/Mac
Siggy/Muscat
Vuko

also significant non-starring
Hearfield, Lochhead, not Lia

that's almost every player that gets a hard time on this forum pushed off the starting and subs benches by the change in formation and the addition of Ward

just thought that was interesting

That's two starting kiwis and a third if Bertos pulls finger, plus one more likely on the bench (Siggy)

We will get DESTROYED playing 3 at the back! Or at least bore ourselves to draws al a the All Whites.

The others sides are playing 4-3-3 for the most part, and that means that our wide midfielders will spend all their time tracking back and we will have nothing in attack.
