Got to love it!! Exactlty what we need.

Great result. Now looking forward to one of those three euro strikers coming in, but I guess we arent going to rush into that signing now.
Great news though

Happy with this. Rated him last season apart from the times he got caught with the ball and the other team scored

I think Nick Ward has a soft spot for dodgy Greeks!

Yeah like the game against Heart thats featured in the newest A-League ad.

Where abouts he plays is an interesting predicament. Out wide or central. I always thought he ad the potential to be in behind the strikers, but never really thrived there. And out wide he really complimented our side when we had Marco on the other side.

Really happy with that signing. The funny thing is, some of the less informed fans wont have even realised he has gone. So it will be interesting how we announce it.

Good news, I rate Ward too, hopefully he goes well. Still think we need a goal-scoring striker

Good re-signing - Ward is a talented footballer.

Out of interest what was the story with him leaving at the end of last season ?
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Is it one or two more u21's? Wasn't that written after Griffiths was signed? Or was he included as one of the two?

Chettleburg or Thurtell?

I do believe it's a kiwi under 21, Cberg would be my guess.

Yeah just mentioned Thurtell as we're shortest on strikers now that Ward's back.

I'd be quite excited if we get one of the three strikers we've offered contracts to.

Great news about Ward, he was easily one of our best players last season! Great for the new overlords as well, bringing back a player that was looking elsewhere.

Now, lets get pen to paper on one of those strikers and we will in much better shape.

He can play in numerous positions and with Sanchez signing and Ifill and Bertos fit (Pantellis injured but  basically Rojas's replacement) there is more pressure on him to perform, equally the other midfielders.

I just didn't think he was anything special last season, had his moments, but otherwise did nothing.

Christian Haselberger has a wiki page. Not a lot on it, but has him linked to a team in Austria. However, the number on his Wiki page is assigned to another guy... The page was last updated mid-June, so thats plenty of time to get released I guess. At least he's not made up

Hold on. Is Nick Ward actually going to be a permanent signing, or is he just injury cover for Pants? Glad to have him back either way, although I've heard he had a bit of a bad attitude last year that he was "too good" for the Nix. Clearly not.

If he is injury cover, I assume we will still have to sign 2 other players rather than the 1 u21 if Ward is full time.

Does Griffiths actually count as an U21 though?

He turned 21 in March.

I think they are made up, Ricki usually talks bs when he goes on about signings.

Ward is good, but my god we still need a striker.  Just get the turtle and get it over with....

Actually, could it in fact be the opposite? That Ward walked because of dislike of the previous ownership and now he's happy to be back under the J. A. W. regime?
