Why can't Pavlovic play with a cast on? Like big Mal Meninga did..

He's not REALLY meant to be using his arms anyway... t is FOOTball after all...

I played with a cast at one point years ago.

Would we really want him playing anyway though?

Give he broke both bones in this arm, and his arm was pretty much tangling, I doubt he is any much state to be playing.  Especially if he has to wear a spft cast.

Take a number and wait in line... About 8 players in line ahead of you. Maybe take an Asprin and call in the morning

No housework this week for you!

Pants will have to stay on then I guess, and only REO speedwagon and Ricky Burnett for music.

Am I the only one who thinks that there might be something wrong with the Physio staff at this point?

Lia, Paston, Ifill, Pantellis.  All players known for a history of being crocked.  Hardly the Physio's fault.

Pav got injured being a dumbarse.

How's my driving? - Whine here

yeah th physio can only manage an injury when they occur, not really prevent them, especially Paston's ribs, Ifills groin and Pav's arm! Lia's knee is just bung from the start too

I'm still a chance at starting in the FZ against the Tards in two weeks so I should get priority treatment!

Is priority treatment from a Physio simialr to a "happy ending" to a massage?

I can top that, conspiracy-theory-wise. Ricki and the lads have deliberately engineered the injury crisis to get the Justified Ancients of Welnix to shell out on more than the minimum 20 players.

Just an update.

I have recovered well enough from sunday's injury scare and should be back into the housework tomorrow morning!

Early days yet and or squad is resembling junior football (9 a side teams) with injuries and suspensions. I have a feeling that the lads are pretty fit and keep running for the full 90 based on the games so far.

I'm assuming this is down to Lee Taylor rather than my rose-tinted myopia and if so I think this will be a very important factor in how well we go over the season.

Groin injury aside Ifill is certainly leaner and a bit zippier (if only for 13 or so minutes). Greenie - always an energiser bunny but has got a bit of height in his jumps now. So I do think that they are fitter than ever.

Phwoar, phwoar! Down boy!

Apparently Ifill only running laps at training yesterday, so either not fit or been very naughty!

DomPost says "very unlikely" to have Iffy for Friday, and gives the impression that we're playing better safe than sorry with him after screwing him up worse by playing him against the Jest.

Just read that, they also hint at possibly leaving him out of Roar game the following week

Saw him at the gym yesterday.  From my observation I would say he's not TOO far away from return.

Wots the likely return for Pav?....

Broken arm means he should be able to keep up his running fitness, prob can do some ball work as well.
He must be close to returning....we really need him. Poor Greenie is running himself into the ground. It will be interesting to see how he backs up for Friday after a big game last weekend.

ok so where are we at. I'll try to recap briefly but hopefully we'll be able to update this as the week progresses.. cause we certainly need to!

Pants - knee - season
Downey - knee - possible operation?
Lia - knee - 4-5 weeks away?
Ifill - groin - 2-3 weeks away? Though as we've seen in the past groin strains can last months..
Pavlovic - arm - couple of weeks away surely?

Plus from last night:

Siggy - hamstring? Cramp?
Daniel - same as above
Sanchez - hip flexor
Lochy - not there, I read here somewhere that he had picked up an injury vs Roar.

Did I forget anyone else? Hope we hear about

If Daniel Sanchez and Siggy are out for the Adelaide game we are in shiite deeper than we ever have been before. Hopefully its just cramp and they pull up OK this week. We could potentially go into this game with nobody on the bench except Paston.

Makes you wonder why Rickie has taken the huge risk of only getting one injury replacement in. Didn't he think that we might get further injuries??? If any of these guys is out we now have to bring guys(prob out of the ASB comp) to sit on the bench. They will come in cold. If we had of enlarged the squad earlier then whoever came in would have had trained properly with the squad and would know the systems....Dumb, real dumb!!!
