Good news is Singh got a good run off the pine, on at 64 mins (2-1). One of 3 subs made at that point. Bad news is Rostock lost 3-1.

Unused sub in a 1-0 win. Rostock with a late 87th min winner.

Serious question. If things don't work out for him, could tempt him to come home for a loan spell in Jan?
He seriously needs to reignite his career.

He might be on the pine, but I'm encouraged by the fans who are wondering why he isn't getting a look in!

First one asks if Singh has taken a shark in the gaffer's cereal as the reason he's not getting minutes. Second one praises Singh's technical ability within the squad.

1-0 Gruether Fürth with 20' to go. No Singh as yet either.

Stays a 1-0 loss with Singh on in the 82nd min. Rostock coach actually made 3 changes at HT (1-0), so he obviously wasn't pleased with the first half. But Sarpreet yeah still seems mostly on the outer.

Looked much more technically astute and switched on than any of his teammates - almost had an assist from a great ball early after being subbed on.

However, yet again, he's being completely misused by the coach. Similar to Nuremberg when he was played in a double pivot.

Great to see the Rostock fans agree with us!

Saw his name pop up on my twitter feed - Joshua Zirkzee; some might remember the name, he played with Singh for BM II a couple of years back too.

Well he's just scored the equaliser against Inter Milan at the San Siro!

The contrasting fortunes of football eh?

And he didn’t look that much chop against Empoli and Libby the week before tbh. Would be interesting if Singh moved to Serie A! Ahh dreams…but as was pointed out he’s not really behind in ability, but what we don’t know is his health and durability.

Rostock lose 1-3, and drop to 15th (just above the drop zone). Hopefully Singh can crack the starting lineup when he returns from injury.

No Singh as Rostock lose 1-0, and stay 15th.

Striker & fringe Socceroo John Iredale (seems no relation to Jack Iredale sadly) 65 mins for Wehen Wiesbaden. His replacement with 89th min goal.

Singh still injured, picked up while on NZ duty. I would presume.

As did Chris Wood back in March (pre first China game), as did Dibley-Dias, Oct window. Bit of a trend. Just bad luck, or something about AWs trainings.

Anyway yet another reason why I think Ryan Thomas will miss the Nov AWs matches. Wrapping his fragile body in cotton wool.

Bad luck surely. Woodsy had a great game for Forest before he got the hammy.

Still injured it seems, as Rostock lose 3-2 at Nürnberg.
Rostock up 2-1 until the 95th min, then conceding to make it 2-2. Nürnberg with the winner in ET.

Sounds like he really shone this morning, more when he moved central. Good stage to do it on. A few UK scouts would have been watching. That's where these friendlies can be really useful, getting noticed by someone.

If his coach at Rostock is going to continue to ignore him, maybe he should be looking at a move in January. He hasn't played for so long, he must be getting frustrated riding the pine. Time to try another European country? Des to request a loan to Oxford?

Singh would do well in the lower English leagues, plenty of games to keep match fit and ready.

He needs to be playing, so anywhere he can get regular game time should be the focus.

Look he'll probably go back to Germany and start getting mins with Rostock. I'm sure their coach watched today's AWs game, and they have been going shark. Full 90 mins for Singh. Rostock winless in their last 6 competitive games, and now just above the drop zone in 13th. Only 13 goals in 13 Liga 2 games - 2nd worst GF in the whole league. Might as well give your ex Bayern summer signing some playing time eh?

But if not, yeah Sarpreet just needs to be playing somewhere. Oxford are in a real hunt for promotion to The Championship and have a coach who knows Singh well, so yeah why not a cheeky 6 mth loan deal.

Socceroo Jackson Irvine is a guy who's gone the other way. Burton Albion, Hull City, Hibernian & now St Pauli in Bundesliga 2.

Hansa Rostock (13th) host St Pauli (1st).

Rostock's coach seems to think starring in an international friendly means little. Sarpreet on the pine. Hopefully he gets a good 20 min+ cameo.

For St Pauli, two Socceroos feature. Jackson Irivine starting, Conor Metcalfe on the bench.

Rostock lose 2-3. Singh only brought on at 87 mins, though they were losing 1-3 until the 80th min. Both their goals were pens.

Irvine full game & Metcalfe on at 73 mins (3-1 St Pauli).

Based on Sarpreet’s game v Ireland, Rostock must have a world ranked player in front of him. (Sarcasm).

Based on Sarpreet’s game v Ireland, Rostock must have a world ranked player in front of him. (Sarcasm).

From what I've seen, Rostock fans are genuinely dumbfounded that Singh can't get a game ahead of their two AMs (who aren't world ranked, it's safe to say). I've seen some say Singh is far and away more creative and likely to create something out of nothing. Particular criticism levelled at Svante Ingelsson, a 27-year-old Swede who spent a couple of years as a reserve in Serie A before moving to Germany a few years ago
