The last thing I wanted to win was a signed Socceroos shirt but I thought the question was an interesting one (for a bye week anyway).
So my suggestion would be all games to be played at family friendly times e.g. a finish no later than 7p.m.
What do you think?
Oh, and a team in Wollongong.
Except the Nix.
Three for me, and two for them.
1,2,5 are a chance. 3,4,6 are next to no chance.

If it is only one thing then this would get my vote. Friday/Sat games could be later.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.
We're the WELLINGTON Phoenix
And this is our Home

make the big teams eg Melbourne vic, Sydney, GCU etc play here twice in alternating seasons. We seem to get CCM, Newcastle and the Fury here twice each season. mix it up a bit.
this improves the perception of the footy on display.
this means green pitches, consistent surrounding (advertising hoardings and colored peripheral fences) and better lighting (some of the grounds have terrible lighting to tele)
think the world cup in germany 2006 - the playing arenas were consistent and amazing looking - looked great on tele.
the playing standard will evolve slowly, but this the organisers of the a-league have control over now.
A cup competition towards the end of the season. State teams could qualify for this through placement in their premier competition (doing away with the need for a finals series).
Queenslander 3x a year.
- There's only one a week.
- They give fans something to watch on a Wednesday.
- They make doing an away trip worth while which is a great thing given the large distances in the league which make away trips prohibitively expensive for many... with mid week games you can get two games away in one trip if you do a Wednesday - Sunday or Friday - Wednesday trip, like when we had a 'double-header' in Melbourne. (To me this is the best thing about the midweek games)
- The other sports that the league is competing for exposure against are almost invisible on Wednesdays.
- It's not like the playing schedule is too overly demanding - there isn't 'European' or domestic cup competitions to worry about (with the notable exceptions of the qualifiers for the Asian champions league or world club champs etc.) - so the physical demands on the players are not that high (although the travel is a factor).
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.
I guess the argument is that it means lower crowds in the stadium for those games.
Personally I don't mind them.
A small rectangular stadium in Wellington would be dope. The YF atmosphere would be amplified ten fold if the stadium was in proportion to the crowd. Then move to ROF for the playoffs and the Grand Final.
Thinking of Celia Wade-Brown's plans to build a light rail network in Wellington city, upgrading Newtown Park is not a bad idea.
I guess the council's question would be 'what can this new stadium be used for other than football?' At the moment it has a niche in athletics and school sports days (which need an athletics track).
Hmmmmmmm. Upgrade the Hataitai velodrome???!
- Something to be done to stop teams becoming impoverished. Hearing about teams continually struggling is depressing. Maybe FFA funds a bit more of each team.
- Two Kiwi teams.
- Every team, regardless of where it's based, to have an FFA funded National Youth League team, not the current joke in which the Phoenix are having to make the best of a very difficult situation.
- Oceanian players being considered domestic players.
