who cares what they think? We have the best fans in the  league (when we can coordinate the chants throught the haze of speights anyway!)

I think it's interesting that, among all the sheep jokes and hilarious mentions of "fush n chups" and Jake the Muss, the Aussies are beginning to respect us now. If only we could say the same of the All Whites.

I have heard from friends in Australia and read in a couple of places that a lot of neutrals would like to see us in the Grand Final.

Speaking as a Melbourne fan, I'd prefer not to play you in a final, home or away.

Why do Tards care how a team composed entirely of sheep-shagging wife beaters who can't pronounce the letter "i" perform?

i think this was the best comment i read on there. from a glory fan:

"...and for anyone considering going to a nix home game, don't hesitate. i don't think i have ever met a nicer bunch of people than the Phoenix fans. Buying drinks for us and everything.

This is a great franchise and it would be a crime against football for Wellington to be wound up.

KUTGW Wellington!"

Yep, the Gloryboys are all class. They were fired up for their lads before the game and didn't once think of whinging after it.

as a league I think the fans across the board are pretty good, we all have great stories about travelling to away games and being treated pretty well by the home fans. I'm guessing the away fans in the prem league don't get invited to the home clubs pub, before or after the game.

Interesting to see News fighting the good fight on the Cove forums. I think some of these Aussies need to be reminded that Singapore used to have only one pro team, in the Malaysian league, and it wasn't until Singapore had won the Malaysian league four times that they thought the time was right to start a Singapore pro-league up. So, four toilet seats for the Nix and then we'll take the NZFC professional. :)

Ha ha after the Wales draw we had a police escort into the Rexham bar whereupon the local Welsh boys gave NZ and us the fans praise for the way we played...

Interesting.

In other words, 82% are picking us to beat Newcastle (18% for us to lose).

Also, they seem to favour Melbourne to win the Major Semi Final (and therefore not have to play the Preliminary Final).

I havn't decided where I would rather go.. Melbourne seem more beatable simply because of their extra games in ACL plus injuries. But I guess their players may be back to full fitness soon?

But that still makes me wonder if I'd rather take the Melbourne side in the the Preliminary, or the final? I think Sydney will be a really tough place to win. So I'm going to hope for the Victory in the prelim I think

i'm happy to play either team in any order. we have beaten them both before (when they were both in much better form) and we sure as hell can do it again!

erm we haven't beaten Old Bling this season.  Match at Ring of Dirt we might have been able to sneak a draw if we were lucky.  We weren't.

Before all the injuries I would have thought The tards would have it all over us, maybe an outsie chance for us now.

your right we havent beaten them this season, but despite their current placing i think we were certainly on worse form and they were on better form when we won against them before (2 1 i think). none the less, I am confident we can defeat both teams providing we play at our best

I'm surprised the wheels aren't being put in place to do this already.

I wonder if the Interislander could lend us the Kaitaki for the weekend so we can fill it and sail to whichever city we play next.

Don't we want Sydney to win- they already have an ACL spot- then we beat Melb and are guaranteed an ACL spot when we make the final, no matter the result?

We don't get an ACL spot, no matter what we do.
