No thanks.

He is really struggling in a league Sean Devine dominated.

Would Rory Fallon count as a Kiwi or an import?

Kiwi probably as I think he was born here - pity they can't get him for the All Whites. Doubt he'll come just yet - playing in the Championship for Plymouth - he'll be earning big wedge and he's climbing the leagues.

I'm Pretty sure he counts as English not Kiwi. He wouldnt want to come here now. Didn't Plymouth have a pretty good cup run this year aswel.

Yeah they did well then got knocked out by Watford a lovely volley by Bouazza.

Theyre going quite well in the championship too, placed around 10th on the table. Rory has only scored 1 goal in his 9 appearances.

Thanks for beating me with the correction there my Hard man. I was debating whether or not to jump in and make the correction myself but I held off as I figured you'd put the record straight. Otorohanga is no where near Auckland and not everyone in the country was born
in Auckland..... Jezus.

Plymouth had a great cup run but Rory was cup tied after having played for Swansea in the comp. I'm still pretty sure we'd get away with him as a kiwi player. Born here, passport holder - what more would he need?

The money....could the Phoenix manage to reimburse him the same or more than what he is hauling out of Plymouth? If Argyle paid near on a million dollars to Swansea to sign him, you'd think they would have tied him down to a reasonable contract.
Yes, he'd be classed as a local, and yes he'd be a valuable asset to the team and yes I'd love to see him play for us too.
The main problem I see in Wellington attracting back our better players is $$$$. I don't see how we can match what they are earning in Europe and it is very rare these days for people to leave a job and go to another one for less wedge.

just thought I would resurrect this thread..

I aint see the whole game yet. Saw the last quarter at home after none of the pubs would show the game in Wellie, inlcuding the Welsh bar which really sucks. Made sure I gave them an earfull.

You won't get Fallon. You are dreaming. He was on big money at Swansea and will be on even more at Argyle. He has a Kiwi passport so would be eligible, although he is apparently ineligible for the All Whites because he played under-age for England and had until he was 21 to switch loyalties which he didn't do.
He made no effort to switch, and New Zealand has made no effort to get him for the national team - although I'm sure they could get a dispensation, Ben Thatcher played under-21s for England and didn't switch to Wales until he was in his late 20s.
Fallon scored some great goals for the Swans but not enough of them for the money they forked out. His loss wasn't lamented.
