That article shouldn't be as funny as it is.

I warmly encourage people to get stuck into sorry whiners on the 442 forum

I however would suggest avoiding the 4-4-2 foums at all costs.  They are full of stupid.

Glory owner Tom Sage said is furious his club's pleas to the FFA for a postponement have been snubbed.

At the moment weve got 10 fit players, he told The West Australian.

Why wont FFA entertain a postponement of the game? What are we supposed to do? They sit in their ivory towers in Sydney hoping this will go away but it wont.

He added: "They treat us like second class citizens. If it was Melbourne or Sydney they'd listen. We refused to let Nikita go until we got a response.

"We've nine fit players. They told us to get players from the state league but the local league finished weeks ago. A few local players we've targeted we can't get in touch with, they're on end of season trips."

Pretty valid point there I would say...

Phoenix have just got a couple of players.... Why can't they? Why couldn't they have got better prepared before now?

Colvinator I think C-Diddy means that "if it was Melb or Sydney they'd listen" is a fair point.

He's right.

However I hope the FFA f*ck them royally.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Yeah, Melbourne and Sydney would get the good treatment.

However, if the FFA do postpone the match I wont be happy. We lose about 5 players (top players might I add) to international duty, and nothing is done about it.

I can understand why the glory are a little upset, but at the end of the day all the teams knew the schedule prior start of the season, need to toughen up and deal with it.

Actually, I don't think I am currently banned from any.

My banning from Melbourne got rescinded, I quit the world game rather than get banned, and 4-4-2 I registered on to protect the Hard News brand but have never used it.

They would have enough players if they didn't get suspensions. And the suspensions are there own fault so they can't complain (having said that, if the Phoenix were in the same position I'd probably complain anyway).

but as long as they are, no exceptions - otherwise where do you draw the line? at 3 players out, at 5 players out, at 7 players out? If perth gets a break, but we dont that would be outrageous.

everyone knew the rules at the beginning of the year - and so all were equally able to build into their recruitment.

yep, barring the 'plague' (preferably at Newcastle or Queensland), I figure that they should be expected to sort it out

any exceptions would send the wrong message to clubs and inevitably lead to inconsistencies (and there are already enough of those on the pitch and in the judiciary room)

Crying over spilt milk, both us and Sydney have had to play with many players away on international duty.  Just because they decided to get a Knights squad on board with suspensions, injuries, twats etc is their problem.

Also remember that the FFA were kind with the drugs suspension, whats his name had his his period back dated to help Perth!

This will never happen, they wouldn't want to set a precedent.

I say tackle him in the face.

They had the dates, they knew which players were eligible, it's their own fault for not being prepared.

The more teams that complain to the FFA about this the better. I hope the Phoenix are quietly letting the FFA know that they are not happy either. Too late to change this season but it should be looked at for next season. If three players are on international duty you should have the option of postponing the game. Or no games in FIFA windows. Is it fair that some teams have to play with weakened line ups? Sydney get to play us weakened other teams have to play us at full strength. Is that fair?

"PERTH Glory has begged A-League bosses to postpone its match with top of the table Central Coast Mariners as they struggle to field a team."

Does it just all seem a bit mickey mouse to anyone else? A professional club that can't put a team together...good grief. They should be deducted points for being f**kwits.

LOL its a good thing that Perth don't actually have any fans any more as they would actually care about this comment like we Leeds fans do.
