Bitterly disappointed that Stuff stole my headline, but I guess it was inevitable

Anyway, I've just blogged on the match for anyone who might be interested

I think real opportunity for chanting here shouldn't be missed, there are numerous songs with 'daddy' in the lyrics, e.g. Boney M's Daddy Cool, which the chorus could be perfectly converted into a terrace anthem.

I liked the Dadi chant sounded good on the bus home and most people liked it.

Right.

Dadi is such a cool dude especially after his debut. Pasty is a god, We got Super Leo and Local Hero Costa and all the other great lads in the best team in the A-League.

However I now have to say that Ifill is goddam near perfect:

"Ifill, a Newcastle United fan since the early 90s after dabbling with Tottenham as a child..."

And for the rest of you : ""It's a good time for football in New Zealand and I'd like to be part of that somehow."

The song Who's Your Daddy by Lordi is pretty awesome.  Could alter a few lyrics to make them have some footballing relevance and you'd be off. loyalgunner2010-01-14 15:38:03

It was incredible. Best Phoenix Chant/song there is imo.

It doesn't really work though, does it? Apart from the first line, which is typically the quietest, you can't even tell the song is about Dadi.

We need something that Dadi will actually recognise imo.

Just listening to Audioweb's version of Bankrobber and a, possibly very stupid, thought struck me.

I can't be bothered, but couldn't somebody do something creative with:

"My Daddy was a bankrobber,
he never hurt nobody
He just loved to liv that way
and he loved to steal your money"

Fair enough. I'll get my coat....

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Yeah exactly what i meant. It makes sense in the close little circle that sing it,but the rest of the crowd are sitting there going "what the hell"

Better at away games.

Time to offer an extended contract. Two outstanding games in a row surely merits a contract for next season?

I think I heard on Radio Sport last night that he's quite a hit with us ladies. I couldn't hear the story cause my friend turned the volume down. So just confirming I wasn't making it up, did anyone hear it too?

Yeah I heard the Dadi interview. Miles Davis asked him if he'd had any luck with the ladies and Dadi just lost it and laughed for ages. Once the interview was over and Dadi had hung up, Miles said "I think we can read between the lines there."

So yes it would seem Dadi is scoring on and off the field!

It was on the Tuesday afternoon football show with Miles Davis and Yatesy, can't remember the exact time. You can probably listen to it on demand if anyone can be more specific re timing.Silent_Assassin2010-01-20 19:21:09

I am wanting to ask how you come by these mainstream news feeds so effortlessly...

however I will stay on topic and say that I sincerely wish Mr. Dadi all the best where ever he may go. It was nice to watch him on those few usually rainy evenings.

He did get more game time then when he was at perth. so hopefully it was positive and led to other offers.

Hope he gets a contract. Curious as to why we didn't resign.

Also like to add, friendly against Tranmere would be great.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.
