Might as well play 11 field players at the moment.

I think today has proved that whichever 'keeper we've got in doesn't make any difference to the s**t defending that's going on in front of him.
Paston didn't show me anything today to justify why he was brought in instead of Moss.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

And so whose going to be released to play for the All Whites?

Paston or Moss or Spoonley

Remembering that we gotta hang on two of them.

I say tackle him in the face.

Moss.
I  thought he would be better in the air and better at organizing the defense.

neither of this was the case.

I think we should give George a turn in goal personally.

Here here.

Feel for both keepers being one myself. Stress levels must run pretty high with that kind of defending in front of them.

Three for me, and two for them.

I understand that the quality of defending is very poor, but the keeping on display today was poor. Bring back Moss I say?

I say tackle him in the face.

tomorrow maybe let's create the poll: "who should be our defenders" with all the options

i.e.: 4 defenders: christie (God no!), O'dor, Old, Lochhead
        3 defenders: clebo, old, lochhead

et cetera....

Agreed, I'd have preferred Moss in goal, he's done nothing wrong, although the back four did nothing to help Paston out at all, he was left high and dry for most of the game!

But his basics really let him down.

I say tackle him in the face.

Both keepers don't seem to have a commanding presence when it comes to organizing their defence  but surely the the problem starts with the captain in midfield he really has to start asserting himself and showing more initiative ,he looked knacked last night after about twenty minutes and had the look of a player just playing out his last season at senior level and collecting his wages  ,im really starting to wonder if this  team is fit enough given the lack of sharpness on display ,Daniel missing that header was an absolute disgrace  i would have backed my 7 year old nephew to put that one away and  apart from Smeltz there was a real lack off organized urgency all round!
Time to get the fkin finger out boys!!!

Moss by far. Paston impressed me at one point of the match, but other than that I feel he was nothing special and at least one of the concessions was awful work by him. Moss should definitely remain our starter, but we desperately need some capable defenders to help him out, instead of just Lochhead and Dodd

It's probably a bit unfair to judge a keeper based on a single game, but Paston did make some pretty bad decisions. Not as commanding as I'd liked him to be. So I guess Moss will start against Perth

Three words - Bring back Moss.

have to agree, paston made some poor decisions and communication looked poor with back four, though admittedly was a new keeper and new center back pairing, however, think you have to return to moss.

Moss hasn't done anything wrong all season, in fact, hes been superb.

Poor decision by Ricki to drop him.

hard for any goalkeeper to stand out with poor defending in front of him not sure which one is best both have made some good saves and also some errors, from the stands and on tv there seems to be a lack of communication between both keepers and their defence.but in saying that the adelaide midfield and strikers seemed a pace or two faster than our players and they did not give much time for our players to get organized, one end to the other and then a goal.

Yeah Moss is the man, but lets not put all the blame on the keeper, it's the defence Ricki needs to look seriously at, and quick!

What about Frank Van Hattum?  The guys a bit older, is experienced at world cup level, and isnt afraid to yell at his defenders!

Except for Dodd, why change the team that outplayed Central Coast ?  Moss in goal for me. Defending as a TEAM is not happening, in fact can the boys from Brazil defend at all ?

Moss has the shot stopping ability.  Crucial when the defense is under pressure.

In the preseason final Paston looked out of his depth when it came time for the penalty shootout.  Sure it is difficult to stop penalties, but he telegraphed his intentions early and gave them all a free shot.

Moss just makes it harder for them to score.

Well said Skaman- the keeper is the last line of defence. If anyone is to blame, then look at the whole TEAM. Defending starts from the striker backwards. Furthermore, strikers can make mistakes all day, one mistake by a defender, normally results in a goal!!
Either way, we need to get this problem fixed [properly, and NOT with a band aid], and QUICKLY without panic.

I agree with Auckland Jag!!

you could Petr Cech in goal at the mo and it wont make a difference!!!

the guys in front, so no composure or organisation and Aloisi does not track any of there midfield runners becasue he cannot turn quickly enough/..

Moss has not done anything wrong and played well against CCM, keeping us in the game, when he came off his line quickly, unlike Paston who was very indecisive and slow..

I just think RH prefers Paston and has made no secret of this in the press recently..
