I think that Christie will be ok at the back. Def not a midfielder, though..

Carle is rubbish. He aint exactly young, and hes more 1 footed than Carney (Yes, I know), so predictable as he dont have a right foot, and looks like a gypsy! Eh Borat...

Yeah, he's  26 now but he sparks a team, Nembo. He might be left-footed and doesn't pull the trigger enough, but I'd have him in my team in a heartbeat.

Nembo, who do you like then? You always seem to be rubbishing any names that appear on here.

I'd rather Ronald McDonald. Of all the players in the country here's the only one that can make me fall asleep in the stands. He really is ORDINARY.
Still, ordinary can be nice....I dunno, he just fails to get me hard, yunno what I mean. I'm not excited, my imagination not stretched by the signing....
Hell, he can go out and prove me wrong and I'll be the first to launch into the biggest beat-up on how good he is on this forum.

I Agree..... the one player that that could have avoided signing!!, Hes, F'ing Sh*t!!

Muscat, Aloisi, Salley - the grafters
Leijer, Vargas, Tambouras - all quality

Now Burns, he's class.  As long as Skeletor (Vidmar) realises he's not winger and plays him as a forward with Agostino... assuming Ago isn't permanently injured.

Burns is indeed class as he knows how to time his runs and use his pace to pounce.  I think you're hard on Djite though as he has been pulling the trigger in the Olyroo campaign and causing a lot of grief for defenders due to his strength which is creating gaps for the likes of Burns.  I'm putting my money on Djite to move up a few notches this coming season.  Ago is needed to mentor these two who have great potential.

You only like tough players by the looks of things. A bit of class and flare is good from time to time.

I respect them more. Flare gets all the praise and media attention, when generally the grafters and hard workers go unnoticed.

Don't know if I'd class Muscat as a man with flare however he certainly received all of the media attention.  Also Lucas Neill is Australia's pin-up boy and he is hardly a player with flare.

I do believe, however, that creative defensive midfielders do not get the recognition from the general media that they deserve though Vince Grella did the position proud during the World Cup.  Then again creative DM's are as rare as hens teeth (one reason why Salley stood out so much).

He classed Muscat as a grafter.

Three for me, and two for them.

Plodder...

..and it's Flair, FFS people, Flares are something you light and get the club fined for.  Flair is what Plodder brings to the game.

Close between Plodder and Collett, he seemed to have a bit of talent.

Sorry sir Hard News, my spelling is just terrible at the best of times.

Yet Ricki named Miyazawa in his best ever Kingz XI... a fact that still concerns me.

I heard that. I know Rufer only signed Miyazawa for his evangelical devotion, but Ricki's not that way inclined, so he's got no excuse.

Yes he got media attention but really if he wasnt captain and wasnt scoring penalty's would he get the same recognition? I doubt it.

Jonas Salley? Creative? Please tell me you didnt say that. Hes a destroyer, his passes went astray and he was the least creative person on that pitch. Im a big fan of his but creative?! Please....

Harry Kewell is aussies pin up boy.

HE IS POSSIBLY NZS BEST STRIKER.

Your realise he's from King Country right?

Yeah I watched the grand final, he was no better than all the other Melbourne players, apart from he slotted 5 goals against a sh*te defence...

Thats quite an "apart" Nembo.  Do that in a regular season game is good, to do it in the biggest game of the season against the second best team in the league is pretty outstanding.  I'm not Archie's greatest fan but he scores goals and that is the only commodity we measure strikers by.  This is professional football remember, who else has scored 5 in a match?

did anyone realise christie was playing last night? it got to about the 40th minute when he kicked the ball into the crowd that i only heard his name. i dont know what people see in him...........you can argue the case of "oh well he's a hard grafter, he doesnt need to be involved with the ball as much as others".......but he's not ...he walk/runs in small circles, makes delinquent footballing decisions and kicks good opportunities into the crowd!

much respect for the all whites, pretty much playing with 10 men when christie is on the pitch. so an amazing result.

id sign boyens, james, oughten  - ive always liked sigmund and he did OK  but boyens outshined him. not sold on smeltz..........i feel like he was in the right place at the right time, but he did work hard and finished well.......id like to see him trialled at the phoenix.......

i dont think anyone is doubting the lad's talent, we're being realists. the fact he plays Celtic and Scotland U/20's means he aint gunna be coming to WPFC. im sure Herbs has sounded out his availability for NZ, but, he won't.
