Popped into the RYOS store on Lambton Quay today.  Shirt looks goooood - almost to the extent that having a sponsor's logo on the front would spoil it.

Was told the kids shirts won't be available until early August.

I was out and about wearing my new Phoenix strip with pride today. Spoke to Champs, who say the old aleague numbers don't fit. They'll have new sizes/fonts in about a week, for both numbers in the box and names over the strips. Loving the stripes.

The box is there so the numbers don't get lost in the stripes, but won't the names get a bit lost?

There was an example of the writing on the shirts at the launch..
I think it was black with a white outline.

Why is there no white or blue box on Readings new home strip ?

Something to do with the hoops rather than stripes perhaps ...

The gold on the Reading shirt's numbers help them stand out, I can barely make out the name though.

I've got a new chant

give me  a B
give me a L
give me a A
give me a C
give me a k

GIVE ME A B
GIVE ME A O
GIVE ME A X

give me a O
give me a F

give me a D
give me a O
give me another O
give me a M

What does it spell?

BLACK BOX OF DOOM!

I'm not sure why they couldn't have just made the replica kits without the black boxes on them?

That black box is horrible. If I'm going to buy a jersey it will be the away one. Looks great.

The hoop should go all the way around though

Called into RYOS ready to splash the cash this morning, but in the end I couldn't part with my hard-earned because of the bloody A-League logo. Why on earth does it need to have that white trim around it? It looked so much better last season when it was just the logo itself with no white background. I know it's probably to make it stand out on the stripes and various colours that everyone has now (as it's on all the shirts) but it's hideous.

Other than that the shirt is excellent and I will probably buy it. Looks great without a sponsor too.

The white around the A-League logo, and to a lesser extent the Phoenix one is so that they can stitch the logos onto the shirts. Get over it.
