Did Davila have huge pedigree? Aside from the 'once signed by chelsea' thing.
His stats in India before coming to the nix were pretty awful
Unheard of

Looking a little light on the midfielder front after this season. 😅
Hopefully the wheels are already turning in that regard... Don't want to be replacing four midfielders from the squad come seasons end given how hard they are to replace as it is.
To have your whole midfield coming off contract this season, ain't ideal.
Hopefully Nix are already in talks with Lewis about a new deal, and I wouldn't mind Pennington being offered one as well. Suspect if Ugarkovic goes well this campaign, he will be targeting a crack at Europe.
Rufer will need to show he's recovered well to be offered another Nix contract. Sadly many guys after a bad ACL are never the same player. Fingers crossed for him.
Merely a point mate.
Has been mentioned previously too on here as well. Can't hurt to keep an eye out for the longer term, given the clamour from people on here (myself included) for longer term deals for key players - which, for example is exactly what Clayton Lewis is.
Nelfoos dunnix Press release says that this is our last signing too. Guess the Reids were just starting their property investment portfolio
Big vote of confidence in Finn Surman as he likely becomes first drop CB and Payne starting at RB. A opportunity he definitely earned in the back half of last season.- What did Elliot do to deserve to be dropped? Other than play magnificently 🙄.
- I hope that this is just a rumour.
Its not Elliot being dropped so much as not displacing the incumbent. I agree he's been good in the FFA Cup so far though and if he can recapture the best form he's shown (just before he went to Xanthi) then he'll push Payne for the starting spot all season.
This is just my opinion, not even a rumour, but the Nix themselves have confirmed there won't be a further signing if that's what you're talking about.
"...I think that's an indication that Uffie is good coach..."
Totally. It is great to see him turning us into a serious contender (bar any injuries etc) this season.
NZPhoenixFan - Honestly. It was obvious. If his place in the starting 11 came under pressure again then he'd leave. So sad.
With a day left in the European market can’t seem him leaving this window, maybe if he continues this form into January a club will make an official bid but I think it’ll be more likely he moves on next season.

If he's leaving then he won't start today.
If he can finish chances like Kosta missed last night, I'll be happy.
Understand that it's a League One club that has tabled a concrete offer to sign Ben Waine, but time is running out with the transfer window closing tomorrow.

League One is a good place to start, so long as he is seeing first team action this season.

If Waine does leave it might be quite hard for us to follow his progress considering Sky Sport and Bein Sports Connect usually only show the League One and Two promotion playoffs rather than regular season matches.

If Coventry wanted him for their Academy, he was right to stay and play another A-League season. At his age he should be playing senior football pretty much every week & is more likely to get that at a League One club.
I would argue his physicality and his ability to use his body is one of his strengths. Game awareness is where I believe he needs to grow... get rid of those avoidable offsides etc.

He said the right things and has a good attitude.
Hopefully he ages like a fine Waine and we can sell him for more in the New Year
