Having lost Kosta I really hope whoever this guy is has some decent pedigree.

First signing for the season. Hopefully a statement of intent. I'm picking a Brazilian since we are bringing in a Brazilian assistant coach.
Maybe Gomes

The club announcing our new men and women visa strikers in the same week, sweet.

Gomes may not be a bad shout. Right age profile. Played in Japan, US and for Sydney.

Can’t say however I remember him.

Rumour of Gomes to AFC, played for Corica at Sydney and is a South American with experience in the MLS, which is what has been said they’re signing

Exciting. Likely get the mens and womens strikers announced in the same week. Maybe even the assistant coach too.
Have to give the club credit for not much in the way of rumours or names getting out, doesn't happen often.

Hmm CV doesn't look promising... Done well recently in the Iraq league but surely the quality isn't that good.

Agreed. Don't think this will get the fans too excited for the season if he's what we have come up with but he does look fast. He could surprise

Big guy up front. Been scoring goals in Iraq. Has potential. But huge shame we don't have Kosta running off someone like this.

Will reserve judgement till we see him play. Plenty of players have come to the A-league with a rather uninspiring C.V. on paper, and completely dominated.

Nice to get a striker signing at least, assuming this is who we're actually announcing tomorrow.

I’m not that impressed by his height, assuming wiki hasn’t been tampered with

If it’s him, it’s a very random signing. Would really like to know what scouting went into him.

I hope that will be explained.

That is true but I think even the players that have had uninspiring CV's and done well like a Berisha, Zawada still played at some decent enough leagues like Bundesliga, Denmark, Bundesliga 2, Poland and while not excelling in those leagues its still a lot different to playing in the Nigerian, Libyan and Iraq league.

But who knows maybe he just never had the opportunity to be scouted to be in a better league.

Love it how people love to right guys off we have supposedly signed before they even are announced or have played a game. From memory i recall doubts being expressed by some about Ifill,Ball,Greenacre,Krishna,Davilla,Zawada those worked out. Think i will wait till whoever is signed has played   before i cast any doubts.

All those players bar Krishna had played in a league better than the A-League. It's more just his CV I'd be concerned with as we've never really signed a player like that before.
Heres some highlights of him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vftUo8KDY5w&ab_channel=ProfessionalplayershighlightsPpH

Definitely looks too good for that level and can see he has some promising traits so could be a hidden gem. But the quality of that league does look quite bad espcially the goalkeeping.

Wow what an interesting signing if it is him! Considering his CV maybe he is not too expensive and we can afford to fork out elsewhere?

I'd love to know about the scouting. With the leagues he is playing in there must be close to zero visibility no? Teams have some scouting tools they use but I imagine this is a bit of a stab in the dark maybe.

Feels to me like this is a similar signing to Yan Sasse and we all know the talent and potential he had, just never fully realised. Maybe this guy can realise the potential he has in our league?

He looks very quick, which is great.

But it worrys me if it's a sign of intent to play the same defensive, counter-attacking style of football this season.

Well if it’s him, it certainly isn’t Kosta money.

Would be absolutely crucial that a classy number 10 is signed for the other import spot

Like others have said, if it is him I will reserve judgement until he gets here and we see him in action. At least he has experience in an AFC league.

Based only on the highlights reel , Eze looks fast, strong on the ball, skilful, with good passing and vision, and a strong left foot shot. Unselfish.
Plays LW, RW or CF but seems also to have the skillset of a CAM.
Hard to know how he'd go but looks promising.
Would be the second Nigerian in the squad.

to me based on the highlights I'd say he lacks a good first touch though. Could be easily dispossessed when defenders are better and right on his toes when he receives the ball. Similar to Sasse I'd say.

Strange that the club and him are following each other,  when last season the club got super intent on making sure that neither they or the player followed each other until an announcement

Yeah, same as the Bhandari/Jaber sighting - surely all the players and staff have had the hard word put on them.

Oh my god, it’s now been announced on stuff and when looking for the scouting info, chiefs comment shows how fudgeed up this club is at the moment.

“And the most important thing for me is he’s a really, really good person”

Does he think he has some right pricks in the squad before or still?

And Chief there’s lots of nice footballers out there.

I think this would have to rank right up there with the most underwhelming import striker in Nix history?

Is there any competition?

And I hope the social media guy knows what he’s doing as well. Cluster fudge.

The club obviously believe he has the attributes in him that can lead to success in the A-League. So I'm hopeful that he will be a success for us!

And at 26 he's just coming into his prime years as a striker so nothing to say that he can't push on and find even higher levels to his game.

Welcome to the club Eze!
