I see the TAB has Victory as favourites, $2 win, us at $3.30 and draw at $3.40

Big game this one. The victory have been creaming it this season, while we have been mixed to say the least.
Is everyone in the squad over COVID now?

Can't wait for this one! If we play the way we did against WU we have a chance. Certainly capable of pulling off a win but it will require everyone to be at their best. 2:2 after 90 mins. Ball scores the winner in extra time 😛

Going away for a long awaited family weekend in the Rapa today, back Sunday. No reception at the bach so looks like I'll miss both the Nix and AWs 🤔

Yes that's my plan. I'm also going to see if there are replays of the AWS game is on Sunday evening so I can check that out too

Wellington Phoenix coach Ufuk Talay says new signing Scott Wootton is unlikely to feature in the FFA Cup semifinal due to an ongoing quad injury.

Lame signing so far. Did they not do a medical before they signed him.

surely they would have and he passed, I think he picked this quad injury in the few minutes he played a few games back - probably not one of those injuries you can predict or really avoid too easily.

Big Boz at the back with Laws. Penny and rufer in the middle? And then no one gets injured!

Don’t think so. Also a weird as the victory are his parent club. But I don’t think that stops him from playing.

Rufer has been dropping back anyway. My guess is he starts in midfield but plays further back than normal to support the CBs

It wouldn't be a shock to see 18 yr old Surman start. Talay seems to have some faith in young Finn.

Pretty sure Surman for Payne. He’s the next big thing, I thought that is public knowledge?

I hope the coverage is better quality than what we got for the 1/4, which at times wasn't much better than a random in the crowd with a phone could of done.

Very capable side of winning this. Good depth on the bench too

I haven't seen enough of Surman to know if that central defence should make me nervous or not.

good to see Talay putting the strongest lineup he has on the field. Also putting his faith in his two young CBs.
Here's hoping that Rufer continues to play as well as he has "recently", we've had plenty of time to prepare for this game so the lads should be well ready and fired up!

Come on lads. A ticket to the FFA Cup finals would do more than enough to make up for the national sides less than stellar outing this morning! Fire up!

So where is Mogg?
He was signed on for the season ahead of Surman and is also a CB. Same thing happened with Ott who was seeming usurped by Van Hattum.
Did they simply sign the wrong youth players?

no harm in having multiple options with the youth players. could be any number of reasons why Mogg isnt in the lineup.

TAB leaning more and more towards Melb, who are now 1.80 win, we 3.80

to be fair those price changes simply reflect where the money is being put, as more $$ get put on ones team the payout on them reduces and rises for the opposition.
the starting odds are the key thing to get a guide on what the TAB experts actually think.

Rufer free header from 2 meters out... Gotta be on target at least

Why do commentators keep calling Marco Rohas the kiwi Messi? What does that make Sarpreet Singh?
Never good enough to play for England
