Can we get a win streak started?

Doesn't appear that they are kids go free deal that they usually run on the first Home game of the year tho.

Be nice if they did some sort of promotion across their social media channels to let people know there is a game on.  Admittedly I only follow them on facebook so don't know if it's been promoted on other sites but it really is shocking.   Only one post since yesterday about the women's game on Saturday. Engagement side of things needs a massive amount of work.

After their battering by the Mariners and with them also missing a lot of their quality younger players to the U23 Asian Cup + a few injuries there is definitely a big opportunity to get the season fully on track with this one.

Sounds like we might also be getting a couple back from injury too. But I'll wait until the squad lists come out on Thursday.

Kinda hoping Josh is back for this - Chief made it sound like he was only missing the 2 away games. Though I have more faith in McCarron to step up again if needed than I did after the Victory game at least.

Somehow I think Chiefy will give Edwards a go and then sub him off if he is not the right fit.  LBS may well come on, but I did not know he was a workable leftie.

Is that a hint that we will finally see Mileusnic?

This is going to be the most nervous, suspenseful wait for a Thursday in some time.

Him and Payne are both close much will depend on how they come through todays training i would think.

If we go back one week post the 5-1 shellacking at AAMI Park, I think 7 days later must be nearly the biggest mood swing in Forum history.

3-0 win in Brisbane, incoming Tuiloma signing and first eleven players on the verge of a return.

Need a thread with one of those Summer Danger Fire meter equivalents.
'Mood Meter' swinging wildly between Extreme Happy and Extreme Sad.

My mood is not swinging :-) I don't like to bring other members mood down by posting my inner thoughts.
Game could be fun!

If Mileusnic truly takes the field this weekend or next, his appearance would feel like a "January Window Signing" and we still get a real January Signing if the BT goss is true.

Probably hard for Chiefy to strongly justify a request for a new #10 when we are about to get such a "new signing" and the fact that we are the 2nd highest scorers in the league.

I don't think a guy coming back that hasn't scored an A-League goal in almost 2 years and coming off not playing a game since the last game of the season last year means Chiefy can't justify a Visa replacement for Ishige.

Mileusnic was an odd signing for mine. The very definition of an aging Aussie journeyman who, as you say, has not only achieved little recently but was injured for half of last season, which should've been more than a hint of what we were in for. Admittedly Perth were generally awful last year but I remember watching him and thinking he was only shadow of his former self, so seeing him picked up by the Nix was an unwelcome surprise.

That said, he is experienced and if he's fit and rearing to go then maybe he can give us a bit more impetus up top. Although frankly I'd much rather see LBS persevered with.

Without the benefit of seeing him on the park, I am expecting something of "Retre Mk.2" rather than a slower, older Eze.

Give him a chance guys its only training but he has looked sharp and talking to him he is keen and busting to just  play. A plus that we should hope is true is apparently him and Eze have worked up a very nice combination. So lets not do the normal Nix fan thing and right off a guy before he has had a decent chance to show what he may have to offer

I wasn’t trying to knock him not being useful for our squad. He definitely fills a gap we don’t have much of which is a pacy winger so hopefully will be a good impact sub or if we want to play more counter-attacking for a certain game.

I was more just replying to the fact him coming back means chiefy wont be able to justify getting a visa 10 to the board but I think we still need a 10 even with him back.

Tuiloma importantly it's a nailed on starter, which adds competition... more so than signing a squadie. Someone will be dropped, 3 or 4 players are on the chopping block for the starting 11 with Payne also nearing a return.

Thats a much better place than 2 weeks ago.

I believe Bill can't play until after the 14th. But what better way to advertise his signing than at Half Time, getting him out onto the Pitch??
