That’s studs up nowhere near the ball from behind?

This is where our thin bench might cost us. The changes both coaches are going to make may decide the outcome of this game

yea I wondered that as well. I suppose he didnt make contact. Otherwise I'm sure VAR would review.

the CCM press is beating our ability to play out atm. Need to change tactic to mitigate what they are doing. or play better balls to each other.

our crossing to short forwards has been pretty good today. but the problem with short forwards meeting cross is that they need to be amazing.

Not a red imo but... on precedent this A-League season, VAR should look at it!

Reec can count himself lucky he did that against us and not Victory

I think we need fresh legs. but can't decide who we would bring on or who we would take off.

It's speaks volumes that Chiefy literally can't afford to put another young sub on yet. They bring on a Brazilian.

There's arm-wrestles and then there is this match.

What an absolute grind.
Torres been kept as quiet as a mouse this afternoon though which is bloody impressive in itself.

I thought it was an excellent game, considering. We did not lose against a very good team, at home. Both teams canceled  each other out. I will take a draw against CCM over a draw against Brisbane.

Our complete inability to create anything resembling a decent chance that isn't from a counter attack strikes again. We really need to improve there if we want to achieve anything come finals time. All a team needs to do is sit deep and we're no threat.

Makes the Brisbane game an even bigger missed opportunity tbh.

For my money, either Rufer or Kraev for MoM.

Agreed, second half especially was very good from us. I especially liked our mentality late in the game of trying to play out from the defence instead of booting in downtown. We were looking for a winner but couldn't quite crack their defence.

Central Coast defended us very well. They got 3-5 players back into the box on our counters.

Kaltak seemed to clear delivery after delivery from Payne or BK that Kosta has been scoring off.

Another game maybe Old nods that in.

We really only gave them one sniff and that was in the first half. Paulsen was excellent.

We missed Zawada. Or perhaps Kraev to go for himself. Or someone to have a chat to OVH about following in a the back post.

Still in this. For a depleted team we did well.

Crowd sounded great!

Fudge me. I'm shocked at the negativity. I thought that it was an excellent performance and an excellent result. We're going to win the league.

With a depleted side this was a brilliant effort. If we had some electric subs at the end of the match we would have nicked it but we made the most of what we had.

All you negative Nancy's can zip it

I'd go with Kraev. He must have ran nearly 13k.

Not gonna help with getting the Fairweather fans back

Maybe? Don’t think there’s many fair weather fans, just everyone who could come did because of the holiday. On the mike they were applauding every challenge, every clearance. I think most knew Zawada was out and we were playing kids. It sounded like a great football crowd.

It sounded like a good game to watch. High goal count doesn’t always equal a great game.

This was a tense, cagey 1 v 2. Novel for us true, but it didn’t seem unappreciated!

Obviously those who don't understand the game will complain about that performance but the reality is mariners are a tough team to break down and if we tried to force a bunch of passes that weren't on and gave the ball away we probably would've lost that game, and we'd be in the bottom half of the table

It certainly feels disappointing to not have scored and won the game but considering how many players we're missin it's a good result.

However I am concerned about Zawadas absence for the next few weeks. He gives us the extra attacking power and x factor we're clearly missing. Especially the last few games we haven't scored many
