I don't want to be too negative but we've got an A league with the top side defending in a 5-3-2 and scoring only from penalties.

Not entirely true of the season, as a whole, but you can see why the League is in trouble.

I'll take it, but I'd like to see us back to where we were during our best spell of the season when we were scoring some great goals.  Though even then most games were tight.

I understand that desire for "entertaining" high scoring games to draw in the crowds every week, but that just isnt football. If you're relying on cricket scores to draw in the non-footballing fans you'll lose the purists who love the actual challenge of plating away and coming home with a 1-0 win. Defense wins championships, pure and simple.

I don't need cricket scores.  So you're creating a bit of a straw man there.  
 
But sure.  It is an entertainment game.  If we want to see a thriving league it'll need to be better than this.  In the meantime I'll settle for winning.  

At the moment we're nearly playing an under 15 side and walking it.

The whole "need more goals/entertainment thing to bring in crowds" doesnt work. Remember the 24k that turned up at our first game back home after Covid? We thrashed WU 3 nil scoring some great goals. And how many of those turned up a week later? Just saying

said it many times, his pace and touch are great, but his option taking is relatively poor. he's still young so hopefully he can work on that.
