Sotirio fudges up the easier looking chance and makes the harder looking one.

FFS!
we lose the ball at their end as old tumbles under a clear push by Neville and the concede from a shot from a decent save, where is the defence right now?

One of those days. First and only chance of the half and they bury it.

Well that didn't last long. Fire up boys let's sneak one back again!

Half decent left foot and Ball would've had that.

This is the worst we’ve played. Don’t deserve a point.

And he’d be playing in the Championship at least!

Its not the worst, looking lethargic and out of ideas though. Whats with all the long balls?

Disappointing. Might be a lean patch coming up. Let's hope it doesn't cost us a playoff again like last season.

Lost to the worst team in the league. Embarrassing.

Another game Sotirio gets that breakaway just before half time. Hooper buries that. Rufer doesn’t tackle with his knees, just as we were building a lot of pressure.
We had no Piscopo. Sandoval was tired. Playing the ball in behind wasn’t quite as effective.
It’s tough to beat Brisbane at home and we couldn’t.

I think Hooper gets the goal rather than Sotirio though?

No playmakers and they’ve been effective for us of late?

The famous banana skin.... Defensively sloppy and no ideas up front. A total black out, perhaps too many games in our legs and its catching up with us? Credit to Brisbane. They wanted it more

No where near the worst imo. But still that was an incredibly frustrating watch. Never got going. Hooper seemed to bring a bit of quality and probably should have equalised there. Sharke.

I thought that Brisbane passes had a higher accuracy. Have not seen the stats but to the naked eye it looked like the accuracy difference was clear.

Although we lifted the game midway in the second half I thought that not having Rufer on the pitch might have been the problem by then. He seems to have become a much better ball distributor as the season wore on. Pennington was good but played a different role (or is a different player).

To many games? Wasn’t that our 2nd game in 20 days?

Told you all! Although the temp was only 25c the humidity was %65 and i believe it took its toll on the legs of the players, But still there's no excuse for switching off in the 1st half.
We are still in the top 6 so that's the only plus from this match.

Well that was poor. Not looking like a top 6 team with a performance like that. Brisbane didn't even play very well. No intensity from us. Disappointing.
That's balls 5th yellow I think. Terrible game to watch.
So next game against Newcsatle we are going to be pretty thin.
No, Ball, Rufer, AW contingent. Piscopo and Van Hattum injured.

Conceding the first while we were still mentally on the bus to the ground, and then the second right after an extended spell of dominance and an equalizer...what a gut punch

I hope UT is going to bring on some of the fresher, younger players earlier. Roar aren't that strong. All we need is some hunger and more will to attack
I am not seeing low level of hunger. What I am seeing is high level of humidity.

What? It’s 25 degrees and 50% humidity. What you on about? These are professional athletes.
OK, please find me another reason that a team that performed exceptionally well last Wednesday is playing sluggishly and without much impact tonight, against the bottom of the table team. And getting a swag of yellow cards against a team with arguably less skillful players than the Nix. And please include reasons for our poor record when playing away at Brisbane.

Was at the game.  Not overly hot and certainly not any more humid then NSW has been.

We were lucky on Wednesday with our poor defending.  Today those birds came home to roost. That was a poor Roar team we lost to.

True to career form Wootton was MIA for the first goal. Payne poor too. Should have started Fenton.

Agree, over all a poor showing. The start was awful. Passes to Sutton were all wrong, Payne made silly errors, we kept giving them chances. However, when we got our game going finally we controlled the game until Rufer went off. Sadly the injury doesn't look good. Hoops made a difference, but I would have liked to see him and Sandoval together on the pitch. Sandoval wasn't playing great but they had a good combination going earlier in the season. Oh well, the next game will be quite a challenge, with missing players and the Jets out for revenge.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I think we have missed Piscopo in the last few games he hasn't played in. Jets and Roar isolate and crowd Sandoval from the rest of the team (pretty much similar to what we were seeing with Piscopo before Sandoval's arrival). As a result, we really lose that creativity on both sides of our pitch. Heads up heading into next game.

Sandoval seems to blow hot or cold. He plays well when Piscopo is playing. Maybe a little friendly competition going on there that boosts the quality of both players. Piscopo was a big miss.
Pennington considering his game time this season, did well again, his corners, passing and technique are all quality IMHO.

Was at the game, geez we can look like world beaters sometime but terrible at times. Not one player stood up, the centre back pairing of Wotton and Laws although solid individual defenders and technically capable, give opposition far too much space at times and you can tell no one communicates and while Sutton is good going foward, he’s a real liability defensively. Roar gsme plan was simple, nab an early goal and sit back, the ease they scored both goals is ridiculous and you feel if they had a more attacking game play, they probably could have had a few more..  up foward I didn’t think we weren’t too bad but Sotirio is a player who plays on the counter attack so he was pretty wasted as Roar had a low block. Hopper did well when coming on but long term, we cant keep on relying  on Sail to keep us in matches, like we have in many previous games. It’s unsustainable and won’t get us very far

Uggh 😒

Batman and Thai food it seems was the winner on the night.

Judging by the comments in here we sounded very average.

I think the big thing in this game was conceding that early goal. This season every time we've conceded the first goal we've lost and since going on this run we've always been first to score. Especially with the Brisbane Roar game plan to sit back to get an early goal doesn't do us any favors.
