And we are off to Brisbane for the weekend. Last game before all the AWs leave for a few games.

Brisbane have been awful this season. Time to turn our negative GD to positive.

If we can play like we did against them last time out then I'd be extremely happy with another 3-0 result.

The boys are chugging along very nicely at this point in time, so anything but a win would be bitterly disappointing on our end.

Can anyone see why sportsbet have the nix as $3.25 outsiders for this one...?

Tim Payne should still be here for the Jets game next Friday 18th, he’s not on the same schedule as Old, Waine, Sail and Lewis. Those four will be back for the game on the 26th, so should only miss that one game

They obviously haven't been watching them so far this season...

Be useful if Mileusnic is still out injured as he's been in hot form this season and Roar are much more dangerous with him on the park.

Their Argie import Lescano scored last match but hasn't really impressed so far. Apart from that it's the ever creative O'Shea and Hore with that cracking long range shot we need to look out for.

I'd be disappointed if we lost this but it could be one of those classic banana skin games if we don't come out with that hard nosed attitude we've been showing lately.

Any updates on where Piscopo is at injury wise?

Agree with this. I hate talking us up in advance and being able to whip them from the get go, but as we've seen time and time again it doesn't necessarily apply to the league overall - ie anyone can beat anyone on the day.

They'll want to put up a better showing than they did against us when we came out 3-0 victors. I think if we look at it like last night, whereas we've been happy to draw games in seasons gone by (and thus having long unbeaten runs as a result) it's pleasing to see this season that we've been able to turn drawing games into three points - CCM, Victory, Newcastle and Macarthur. In each of those matches we were tied up going into the last 20-30 minutes and we've come out with a result. Whereas in seasons gone by we might have drawn maybe two of those.

We've not necessarily been playing stellar football all season, but it's the sign of a good team to keep going until the end and turning one point into three. Makes a hell of a difference that's for sure.

Heads screwed on from the get go against Brisbane and we should again be looking for a good result. But by no means will it be a certainty. Something along the lines of - Do the mahi, get the treats. Exactly what we've been doing so far in this unbeaten run.

Brisbane always play better at home. And we are coming off a short turn around. Can't afford to get ahead of ourselves for this one.
They will be desperate for a result. We will have to match them in intensity.

No real point in worry about getting + goal difference in any game, lets win! secure the 3 points and move up the table.
As long as the lads go into this game focused on the win and being better each week then we can only be positive.
We all know Talay will have them ready for this one.

Tired legs, jet lag and field rust and playing away in the humidity all leading up to a very hard game for us. It will be a massive upset if we win this.

He certainly is annoying, and wrong 99.9% of the time. But he's right the humidity will be a challenge (over 80%). One reason why Nix have a poor record in QLD. Though helps this time they are coming up from pretty sticky NSW rather than cool windy Welly.

Also first time they have travelled interstate for an ALM game, since a trip to Adelaide on the 1st March! So that will be a mini shock to the regular comfortable routine, of the last 2 months.

I think Hooper will be on the bench as he was close to being on the bench for the Jets game. Piscopo hopefully will be on the bench too but won't be surprised if hes not featuring at all.

Scoring from a big looping cross like that when both your CBs are under it, pretty poor

Roar look like they already plan to park the bus, our lack of movement and energy is making it easy for them.

Sail is surely still suffering from his injury earlier in the season, Payne pretty much having to try turn out in the box rather than play back to his keeper for a clearance

Might be too late by halftime if they don't pull finger. Only going to take one more of these crap passes, some lazy defending and Roar will be out of sight.
