VAR spoiled the genuine enjoyment but what a nice goal. Waine is beginning to look the goods as an A League quality striker, and great work by Uggs.

Shark defending again.

Three for me, and two for them.

Thought Mauragis did fairly well on Nkolo. Even a good foul there where he got passed him. Wasn’t the weak spot I was worried about.

Bloody awful play by Payne to give away possession up the park. Hung the defence out to dry.

Who we got on the bench? Think Kosta is tired.

Zawada's got a ton of energy. Surprisingly quick too.

Got in each other’s way. We should be winning this game.
What have we got left here?

Phew, glad to see we don't have a monopoly on incompetent defending today.

How’s the ref called that? Looked like a great tackle.

Very disappointing. They had a centreback pairing on debut.... we should have done better.

Not the greatest showing from Payne & Barbarouses but happy with a point in the end - also how did Kaltak not pick up a yellow card?

Should have won. Definitely created enough. Kind of Ayongo to help us out.

We were a little greedy at times, but I guess you want that in strikers.

Waine is class. Zawada , you feel, might unleash flood gates if he gets one.

I think we didn’t let Nkolo play too much.

We’re beginning to see why we got Ugarkovic- he can drive the ball forward better than our other players I reckon. Fantastic pass for Waine’s goal.

The whole team switched off in defense after the goal. Shouldn’t have let them back in.

It doesn’t look like the composed Uffie teams we’ve known, but definitely some good signs.

Thought Kosta was fine. But for a miracle save he's on the scoresheet, plus general play was ok.

Payne is a bit of a concern for me but he wasn't entirely to blame for what was a very ordinary display of defending.

Payne has to be better than Elliot to keep him out and he mostly is, but he used to be Mr Reliable, but has had some jitters in the passed 12 months.  I’d expect him to have to step up a level or two as a senior player to hold his starting spot.

Take the point & build.
Central Coast will be there or thereabouts this season, a really good side.

Defending again questionable, really need to sort that out, because ball watching and losing your man at this level should be a criminal offence.

When that 2nd goal went in from Cummings I thought the worst, purely because we lose our way, as well as games from that point...

Will take solace at the point purely because it's the first point we've won from a losing position since coming from behind at Eden Park against WSW - May 30th, 2021. How's that for stat of the day eh?

  • Football is very subjective. Have your own opinion. In mine, Elliot is the better player.

Thought I heard 7089 over the announcement system, but this is not gospel from my end. 😅

Was there or there abouts, shame really given the weather.  That new stadium announcer is awful though. Get the names right and get that fudgeing rugby sharke in the sea. Good on the fever for trying to drown that out.

Definitely should have won that. I think my fears of Payne being RB was there in evidence today. He’s not good enough in that position, nor does he go up the wings enough. It was clear as day he should have cleared that out wide.

By and large we seemed a bit timid today, not sure why, but man, zawada and waine impressed today. Don’t think lists deserves any hate, was mightily unlucky but also should have shot first time a couple of times. Signs are still positive. Just need to get used to playing here again. We’re behind you!

Two games in and I think it is not too early to make a call that we are not going to be top 4 this season and have no chance of winning the league. Basically to do that we need to have picked up gold in our new imports. The polish striker looks A league adequate standard for a kiwi or ausi but nothing more. The Bulgarian midfielder despite having the best CV is simply slow as and I suspect will lose his place to old shortly. I don’t think the coach has won the lottery this time with those guys.

Much too early. Talay still has no idea of his best 11. Give it another 10 games. The league will be tight. Top 4= 40 points.

What a rollercoaster.  2 offside goals, winning, then losing, and pipping a draw.

A lot of that game we felt like the better side but some bad moments.  Ah well, let's see how we track on the road.

Old was poor today off the bench. Shame, did well last week.

Waine gets better and better, strong on the ball with his hold up play, but also quick enough to make those runs in behind the defenders. Seems like a good all round striker.
