I’m hoping for a goalfest. I didn’t make the 7 hour trip here for nothing. COYN

Glory have conceded 29 goals in their last 5 ALM games, so a boring 0-0 here we come.

They were flying over tomorrow so will get a few days to prepare.

Man, I feel so bad for Oli. I did resent him when he left and all but he didn't deserve this level of punishment.
In saying that, I do hope we smash them next weekend, so...

I'm hoping he has a blinder and conceeds like 15 goals all season. Ideally all 15 to us.

Very fair.

Sounds like things are getting worse for Perth behind the scenes if the rumors about Glory trying to get rid of Taggart are true. Interesting choice to try get rid of your top goal scorer but perhaps they have a striker or defender in mind that they want to bring in?

Nick Lennon claiming Risdon is injured, so he won't be playing this week.

I think Rufer in his post match interview said the team was going to be flying yesterday (Tuesday) to Perth and preparing over there for the game, I wonder if any players travelled that didn't make Sunday's matchday squad

Retre and Rojas will still be out, not sure about LKH and GSR.

Let's hope the leg injury Sutton picked up in training was a minor thing.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

I see Bally is left out of the squad. I know he didn't make much impact when he subbed on last week, but still surprised he's omitted entirely.

Good reward for Walker who retains his spot in the wider squad after a promising outing against Western, although in saying that I am fully expecting Sutton to come straight back in to the starting XI. Would still be keen on seeing Walker get some minutes though after a pretty accomplished A-League debut.
Happy to see Colakovski come in as well as he'll give us another option, and some more firepower/impact in that final third.
David Ball drops out of the squad altogether. 👀

I'm also happy to see Colakovski included, be interesting to see how much time he gets likely off the bench.
Definitely surprising to see Ball not included at all. Doesn't say he's injured and don't think he's ever really been dropped before expect for injury. Could be for personal reasons however

As hard as it is to say. I did notice Ball got totally skinned when chasing a loose ball up front in a promising position not long after he came on. Workhorse yes but Pacey no. With the long haul to Perth and midnight kickoff perhaps suited better to younger legs.

Xuan Loke is listed as an in but he was on the bench last week. He wasn't originally in the squad released mid last week but was obviously a last minute addition before the match on Sunday - so still not really an in

Bally played to high, you need play him a bit deeper and hassle players, Van Hattum would have been better impact. I guess we got out coached.

I also think it has to do with a tactical choice of players to travel. Or he may have a family commitment and the team is away to Perth for a whole week, pretty much.

Wellington Phoenix have left their Ball at home. Import forward David Ball didn't travel to Perth this week and will play for the Phoenix reserves on Sunday instead. Coach Giancarlo Italiano: "It’s obviously to get him playing regular minutes and building his loads."
